Hi All,
Who says starting with those great GWS foam planes won't creat balsa builders.
After 3 GWS planes that tought me to fly and have fun doing it (all still fly), and one Dave Robelen design, Flap Jack, to teach me aileron acrobatics, its time for a balsa plane.
After our last electric fun-fly, Ron Fikes was kind enough to make and send me some plans of his Hover Fly.
After I got the plans he had its picture published in the January issue of Model Aviation.
So far its covered and waiting for the Astro 020.
Covered with landing gear and wheels, no rc gear, weighs 6 oz.
33 inch ws, 12 inch cord, added 1 and 1/2 inch to length per Ron's advice.
Heres a picture of the bare bones.
John
