all you crawlers out there, would it be possible to make a locking diff, i saw this fluid some where that would become unpushable in a syringe when a magnet was put on it, could we fill the diffs with this stuff, it flows fairly freely when the magnet isn't near, and have an electro magnet that is turned on/off by remote to lock/unlock the diff. just a thought, sorry for the long winded post.

That's a lot of work, and weight, for a small R/C truck. There are some Robbe axles that lock when activated by a servo, but they are for the smaller Tamiya Pajero size trucks.

It's easier, cheaper, and faster to just lock the diff yourself. Just buy a new set of gears and glue it together with JB Weld.

actualy it wouldn't be a whole lot of work, if your diffs are already sealed, you just fill them with the fluid and put an electro magnet close to the diff
