aahh what to do??!!

hey guys,
Ok i have not idea what to do. i currently have a T-maxx w/ O.S. .15 CV-RX (which is shot) and i'm big into racing. i'm debating on either selling my t-maxx and going with a Dominator kit (i already have an engine and radio gear and everything) or going with a .21 conversion kit. i would love to soup up my t-maxx but that would be getting quite expensive due to gears in the diff. and tranny and all. what do you guys think i should do?

Why not try a new TRX 2.5? Traxxas went with it over a .21 engine for a reason: It's smaller, lighter, and doesn't put as much strain on the drivetrain while still providing good power. For racing, I bet you could turn laps as fast as a .21 Maxx, if not faster.

The Dominator would have an edge in the lower engine and CG, but the suspension always looked to limited to me. The Pro-Line coversion for the Dom should be good, and you already have the suspension pieces from your Maxx.

Why not get the Dominator, and upgrade the T-Maxx (now your certifible "Project Vehicle") as your budget allows?

i dont want to get the 2.5 because this summer everyone on the track will have one. i wanna be different not follow the crowd. yea i thought about that project truck idea and it is quite tempting to do that. i think i might but i'm not too sure yet. i'm gonna compare prices. if there is anymore input or any dominator owners who can convince me to switch i'm all ears. thanks alot guys.

Why not go with the Sirio they have a direct replacement for both new and old TMaxx's and they have more HP with the 3.0cc /.18 engine so they say.

The slide carb requires mods to the frame and extra parts. I think you have the older Rotary type?

i currently have the set up for a slide carb. i am running the .15 CV-RX w/ slide carb. sticking with the T-maxx i plotted out how much it would be in order to do this....

JT .21 HRC chassis
RB S7 .21 engine
proline maxx suspension kit
HPI pipe and header kit
RRP tranny and diff gears
MIP outdrives

total: about 800 bucks

if i go with the dominator, RB S7 and the servos i need, its about 630 bucks.

i am still undecided. it would be fun to have a project during the summer but i also dont really want to wait and the dominator seems like a great truck.
