Hey folks, I have been away from the R/C scene for a couple years now, and I am trying to get back in the game. I used to run a Schumacher Cat '98, I still have it and it still runs great. I wish I could say the same for the motor I have been using in it which is one of the first kinwald dirtinator motors. Anyways, I am thinking I am going to buy myself a big bad monster truck. I have always liked things that most people generally don't have, I like to be differant. This is probably why I have been a long time schumacher fan. I have never owned a nitro car before, and I think this one will be my first. I am leaning towards the HPI Savage. I have read where people say it is a little slower compared to others, but this really doesnt bother me all to much. I just was wondering about reliability and breakage factor. My old cat has taken quite a few licks but always seems to have landed on its feet. Even though its 5 years old now, I havent replaced to many parts due to crashes. I want a truck that will take huge poundings and be able to crawl away clean (or preferably muddy :D ) I definately do not want a T-Maxx, everyone has one. It would be like running with my brothers kids for christs sake.

Let me know what you guys think a Savage would be a good deal, keep in mind I do know how to drive and maintain this stuff, I ain't a newbie, its just been a while.

Sorry, I am not a big fan of associated. That goes back to the days when I used to run a Pro-SE against a bunch of RC10's. Hard to shake old rivalries. Just can't do it, no matter how good the truck is. The mad force is made by kyosho right? I am not to sure, I havent really read much about this one or the XTM truck. I am sure XTM has built a reputable name for themselves, but they must be new to the scene since I was last in the hobby, so I don't really feel comfortable buying something I dont recognize.
