Who has the best deal on a good Failsafe?
I'm running a stock Z23 setup and would like to know how can I shut my engine off when I want instead of having to drive it in & press the kill button.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Remove the throttle stop screw and use throttle trim to close the throttle butterfly and stop engine. If using a wheel radio, set thottle servo travel to close the throttle when moving throttle trigger in the "brake" direction Instead of applying brakes you are closing the throttle. Hopes this helps

You know that I would help you out with this one too!:D Get hold of Carlos Andrade at http://shark-racing.com/ . He has the best gas boat Failsafe in the business! Yeah, he's in Brazil but ships up to the US constantly. Very nice person, I talk to him in chat rooms a lot.

Throttle stop setting , although does work , is not suggested ... as stated by Ron .... Contact Carlos.... his failsafes are second to none ....

When set-up properly, failsafe,at the loss of the radio signal at the reciever, the failsafe will drive the servos to a position that is determined at set-up of the failsafe unit. Usually steering straight ahead and throttle closed. For the failsafe unit to shut down the engine the reciever has to lose it's incoming signal. Meaning the transmitter must be turned off. The transmitter is turned off, the reciever loses it's signal, the failsafe drives the throttle closed and the engine quits. But you also lose steering control for those last few feet to the dock or whatever.Unless the failsafe unit is for the throttle only. I use a wheel radio and use the throttle trigger pushed forward to the " brake" position to close the throttle. And I use the internal failsafe in my Futaba radio for the protection that I need.
