About the motor not working and stuff, check it over, brushes springs, everything. There have been a few times I have forgotten to put a spring or bruch back on.
For whomever was having servo problems, I just trimmed off some of the plastic from the sides of the tabs and the servo fit fine, and if your servo arm is getting caught on things, chances are you put it together wrong (linkage backwards) or your SED is turned too high if you have that option on your radio.

I got it to work, the deans wasn't transfering power, I unpluged it half way and all the sudden it worked. With the servo, the one I wanted to use was just way too tall, regardless of what spacers I used it wouldn't fit, so I used a standard servo and cut a little off the tabs.
I lost a lot of power with the drive train slipping, I tightened up the slipper, but I think I need to tighten the diff too, first I will reglue the tires and then try the diff. It didn't spin the rear wheels once on the rain slicked road(better wait for a dryer day to run it again). The T3 really is a awsome truck. Really fast too, in better conditions, I think I can get it going around 40mph. So much fun!:D :D :D

OH man! Yesterday, racing around my track, i landed hard on the rear motor guard, and heard a giant snap! DOH! The rear steel chassis plate snapped in 3 places! I'm not sure to be proud or upset. AW well, luuckily i had a spare lying around, i guess you need to replace those things after 2 or three years of hard landings :D  ;)

ok, finnaly.. got myself a T3 factory team on order..
so what can I expect? What sort of motor would be good in it? Setups for a hard packed dirt track, fairly smooth, but with some huge ass jumps in?
I haven`t raced electric before, so this is a new venture for me.. any help would be appreciated
thanks

Well it is a very good truck, good performance, extremely durable but for hopups right off of the start you may want to go for the plastic RPM hopups like ballcups, gear cover, and most importantly the rear a-arm mounts since the stock ones are weak. The RPM parts are cheap too, and long lasting. :)
I have been driving my T3 since mid June 2002, have only broken a rear a arm mount and that is it. As for motors, I have had sucess with the P2k 2 Pro and the Reedy MVP, I personally like the reedy more than my p2k 2 pro that I had.
ViperStrike

Pudder is right
put as many RPM products on your T3
they are great!
and inexpensive.
k_sw31
11-01-2002, 08:03 PM
Well, for motors, it depends, if your used to raceing nitro (i am assuming you are) you'll probably want soemthing hotter than a stock motor. If you are looking at a modified, consider the trinity d5's or the the reedy ti's, i've heard they are both pretty good. Also, if you want power coprable to a nitro, consider going for a brushless motor (if your track will permit it) But most importanly, have fun. :D
Ps. maybe it may be good for you to start out with a stocker, to get use to the truck.
TimmyRC10T3
11-01-2002, 08:04 PM
Go - I would stick with the Stock Set-up for the first time. You'll be suprised how good the truck is in stock form. It better to start like that and make adjustments from there. This way you can see what helps and hurts the performance and handling. As for a motor I go with a P2K2 or maybe a MVP like Pudder said. I am not sure what would be better. Both almost the same. As for gearing anything from 19-22 would be good to have. I would start with 20/87 and work from there. For doing the jumps might be better to roll the ones you can't clear rather then risk crashing and messing up your new truck. Remeber it is better to finish last then not to finish at all.
K_sw31 - Nice job man. Talk to me when you break a chassis lol. I have broken two so far. 3 arm mounts 2 top plates and a couple plastic gea servos. Man I love my T3. Oh yea front caster block. Gota watch out for curbs.
pudder
11-01-2002, 08:12 PM
Timmy, I don't know how you broke all of that stuff, and to set it straight, I dont want to know .:) If it is a Factory Team it shouldn't have any breakage problems, atleast if you dont huck it off buildings. ;) I have raced people with T3's and myself, never seen parts break besides rear a arm mounts. :)
k_sw31
11-01-2002, 08:13 PM
Hehe, i've already (well, i've been cruelly abusing my t3 for 2 or three years :)) broken 1 chassis, about 5 stock rear arm mounts, 1 front bulkhead, 4 top braces, 3 front a-arms, 3 rear a-arms, 1 rear bulkhead thingy, A couple of knuckles, 1 front axle, etc...
Hehe.
go1d1e, i really hope you dont get the wrong impression from this, it took some hard bashing to acommplish this.

Well, I got some good news and some bad news.
The good news, I was jumping my T3 and having trouble with the throttle control and landed on my lid. The rear shock tower came off, the battery hold down bar broke and the power capasitor came off the side of my GT7. The good part is, I CA glued the capasitor to the chassis, won't go nowhere now, and made a custom aluminium battery bar, looks really sweet, I polished it to a mirrior finish and it is a lot wider then the stock piece and it gets skinny at the back so it will fit right, look awsome. I will get a pic as soon as I can (no digicam).
The bad news, later I was driving it and the rear tower had the 2 top mounting screws come out again. But much worse then that it that my 11 turn speed gem pro motor smoked. It started arching and slowing down real bad, and then smoke came out and it is toast. The shocky diode came unsoldered, the enbell is all discolored and warped, the brushes and comm are burnt and the winding of the motor toasted. I can't belive this thing died in less then 10 runs! Not going to get another one of these. POS, I think I am going to get 2 new motors, a sealed endbell siver can or stinger for really long runtime and extremly long life, and some other cheap modified motor, I'm thinking something like a 15 turn caliber. What do you think would be good? Should I go ahead and get a stock motor or something? I don't know, I just think it sucks that the first good day to drive it I have and the motor blows:mad:, jeez.

I've gotten at least 30 runs out of my speed gems pro

11-01-2002, 10:26 PM
That is too bad, you should contact Trinity and see what they can do. Sadly, if it was a bad soldering job on your part, I think you just might be out on a motor.
Crashmaxx
11-01-2002, 10:39 PM
There is no warrenty of any kind, so I think I'm screwed. Do you think the fact I didn't break it in right or do any mantinence made it crap out, I wouldn't think it would die that fast due to that. Next time I will solder it to, I had some trinity no solder connectors this time and they were no easier than soldering anyway. I might get to go to my LHS tomarrow, so hopefully I will be running again soon. What motors you think I should get? I was thinking one cheap modifed, like a 15 turn, and a sealed endbell POS, that will run forever(very slowly) for whenever I need runtime more then speed. Sound good? Or should I just get a good stock motor, its just that going from an 11 turn to a stock is a big loss. What do you think?
pudder
11-01-2002, 10:41 PM
It is up to you. I would go for a 19t if I were you since you don't race eh. Well first of all, you should really learn how to solder if you don't, I have a little how to if you need see.
Crashmaxx
11-01-2002, 10:47 PM
I know how too, I was going to use bullet connectors when I ordered the no solder, but then I thought "bullet connectors with a 11 turn! Am I crazy!" so I soldered on deans but left the other side alone. You think a 19 turn would be good? I got boerd with the last 17 turn I had, I think 15 turn would be a better option. What other motor should I get in addition to the 15 turn? A silver can, stock motor, 19 turn, what do you think would make a good back-up motor/motor for awsome runtime?
pudder
11-01-2002, 11:28 PM
Lots of the Evader guys have tried 19 turn motors and they say they are good runtime and speed. Really to keep the excitement in rc, it is best to have a local track or a club to race at. :)
Crashmaxx
11-02-2002, 10:06 AM
I think I will get a 19 turn and something crazyer, 16-11 turn range. I'm thinking of getting some g-hawg tires soon so having a motor with good torque would be a good idea, and who know what other parts will break and be replaced with custom aluminium parts.;)

I'm not sure what pinion I need, this is what AE tells me:
Motor /Pinion /Spur /Final Drive Ratio
24 deg. ROAR stock motor /20 /87 /10.44:1
DS Spec motor (kit motor) /20 /87 /10.44:1
36 deg. stock motor /20 /87 /10:44:1
14 turn modified motor /20 /87 /10:44:1
13 turn modified motor /19 /87 /10.98:1
12 turn modified motor /18 /87 /11.60:1
11 turn modified motor /17 /87 /12.28:1
10 turn modified motor /16 /87 /13.05:1
So does that mean I should use 20/87 for anything 15-19 turns?
pudder

Crashmaxx
11-02-2002, 01:10 PM
There is a track at my LHS, but no organized racing. It seems to be a small pretty loose dirt track with a couple jumps, thatis otherwise smooth. But I normally run on road, grass, and mulch. And when you say lower, do you mean lower ratio, or a smaller pinion?
Crashmaxx
11-02-2002, 02:58 PM
I ended up getting a 17x2 speed gems 2 motor. It was $35 after he gave me a discount, the price on the sticker was $49, they want $60 for a 11x2 P-94, and before the discount I was consiedering getting that. Not as fast as I wanted, but ay least I can run it and get great runtime. I got a 19 tooth pinion, which is probably undergeared a lot, but I think it will be a OK starting place. Thanks for your help pudder, even though it ended up that my LHS not so great selection dictated what I got.

ksw31 I think it is a Canadian company, not exactly sure but I know they make extremely good batts. Corally is also a good batt company too. Here at our track we tend to use more smaller companies for things like that, well Coraly isn't exactly small, but prettymuch everyone running modified uses a Corally mod.

I put in some lights I got at radio shack. Just some little LEDs wired to a 9volt. Poped one in the process, aparently 9volts to one 3volt LED will blow it up, so I wired the rest in series. They are pretty weak, but I can see them up to 100 ft away. I will get like 10 crazy bright ones later when I make the brass rollcage. Its going to be sweet.:D
And I got some pics of the custom battery bar I made last week, it was shinier, but after running my truck a bunch it got some scratches, and the pics are a little crappy, it really looks better.

Hey, that thing looks pretty cool  Does it function as a heatsink at all? I guess I was to lazy to click on the link you put up :o
Crashmaxx
11-10-2002, 10:23 PM
Yeah it works a lot like a heat sink. WAY better then the stock piece of plastic. I was considering making more and selling them, but it took me a few hours to make the one so how could I make 10, 20, or posibly 100?
But I guess I could make 1 or 2 more if anyone really wants one.;)
k_sw31
11-11-2002, 12:01 AM
Hmmm. Maybe I will make one of those....
Do you notice any longer runtimes or do the batts just stay cooler?
k_sw31
11-11-2002, 12:56 AM
Hey guys. What would you suggest for a cheap (20 bucks or so) motor, just a POC that will run and run and run, that has a decent compromise between speed and torque. Thanks.
grewst
11-11-2002, 02:46 AM
A $20 motor that runs and runs??? If you find one let me know. What about Team orion rush motors?? I've heard ups and down about the motor, but they sell for about $17 at Tower
k_sw31
11-11-2002, 11:22 AM
Hummmmm, well, my lhs sells those titan motors for the e maxx, and if the run is long as the stingers do.... All you'd need to do is gear up for speed :) I was also thinking about those calibers motors, or maybe the monsters of touring. :) (my lhs mainly sells trinity motors)
k_sw31
11-11-2002, 11:27 AM
As long as I am bored... I figured I'd send off and email to RPM, pressureing them to make more parts for the t3, so here are my suggestions so far-
Suspension arms (all the way around)
Front top plate
Front bulkhead
Rear transmission brace
And all these in different colors (of course)
Let me know if you have any other suggestions. :)
Crashmaxx
11-11-2002, 12:34 PM
Sounds good to me.;) Maybe we should all send them e-mails to get them to do it.
And with the battery bar, I didn't notice longer runtime but it all is a lot cooler.
As for the motor, don't get a titan, they are way to slow on less then 12 cells.
k_sw31
11-11-2002, 01:03 PM
Would ten cells work? (i don't want to go over the limit of my super rooster)
What I am gonna do is send RPM an email telling tham the parts we suggest, and tell them if they want to talk to T3 owners, the ni will give them the link to this thread.

To post multiple images you have to have them hosted onto an online server. Then you just do the simple image code and you can do as many images as you want. That is how I get multiple images, I have a website with all of my stuff on it to post.

I forgot, just one more thing they should make, a wide bumper like they have for the rustler and pede. I will e-mail them tomarrow with the final list. You should add the bumper, just send a second message. How does that sound?;)
Oh, and maybe a cool battery bar. We should suggest all these and then see what they are willing to do.
And 10 cells would be fine for the titan.
k_sw31
11-11-2002, 05:48 PM

I will email them a second message. But, I think everyone should email them, the more the marrier.

I doubt they would make a bumper like that. The one they make does have a lot of give though, just that the T3 os more of a track truck. :)

So far we have:
Wide bumper(definetly)
Battery bar(maybe)
Suspension arms (all the way around)
Front top plate
Front bulkhead
Rear transmission brace
And all these in different colors (of course)
If we all agree on that then I will send them my e-mail.
k_sw31
11-11-2002, 06:21 PM

11-11-2002, 06:21 PM
I think they just need to make a special all blue RPM T3. ;)
I think the battery bar would be cool but really there is nothing wrong with the stock one.
Crashmaxx
11-11-2002, 07:02 PM
True, but why not ask them for one anyway.;)
k_sw31
11-11-2002, 07:12 PM
Well i guess we don't want to come off on them as rude, don't ask for more than we need, that way they are more likly to grant our request :) I guess what I am saying is wait till they come out with stuff we really need and then lets ask for eye candy :)
A special all blue T3 would look awesome!!
Well, I just ran the 11x2 and I have mixed feelings about it. IT has Great rpms, but, it takes forever to spool up and reach there , and well, its about as fast as my speed gems 2 13x3, and it had WAY more torque than this thing does, aw well, yu get what you pay for. :)
Crashmaxx
11-11-2002, 07:22 PM
All right then no battery bar. I will e-mail them soon, what did your e-mail sound like?
k_sw31
11-11-2002, 07:30 PM
Well, basically i thanked them for the parts they already make for the T3, and I told them that I was writting that letter on behalf of many T3 owners, that I had conferred with a few other T3 owners (you guys). Then I said we have a few suggestions for some more parts, then I gave them the list. :)

11-11-2002, 09:42 PM
Hmmm, I doubt that they'll make them. I E-mailed them about 6 months ago asking about TC3 parts. And they replied that there is limited space and resources there so they are not able to make as many thing as they would like. Not to mention it was also said that the TC3 didnt really need anything else, or so they thought. You never know though, they may have expanded. ANd with teh T4 just around the corner...(sort of :p)
RPM arms would be pretty nice though. :)

Well, I just got my reply back from RPm, it was very speedy, and I was surprised the ywould take the time to write such a long e mail.
Here it is-
Dear Mr. Stanton-Wyman,
Thank you for the great feedback! It's always a pleasure to hear from satisfied customers. We try our best to make the strongest, most durable parts at reasonable prices and it's always a pleasure to hear from individuals such as yourself that appreciate that fact. Thank you for giving our parts a try and if you ever need help with an RPM product, please don't hesitate to ask.
Now, as for your product requests, most of the products you mentioned are already on our "potential products" list. Unfortunately, that list of potential products is very long at the moment. Our problems are as follows: First, we are a very small facility with a total of six full time employees, including the owner. I am the primary mold builder and designer, as well as our Tech rep and web master! The owner of RPM is the only other mold builder here. In addition, building molds is quite a time consuming task. One mold can take as little as two to three weeks to build or as long as 3 - 6 months, depending upon the complexity of the mold. Now, R/C related parts are our primary product line, but we are a complete, in-house mold building facility and we do have other customers that we build molds for. We have to take all of these factors into consideration, as well as potential profitability of a new part if we were to make it. This is why there has been a pretty heavy lean towards the monster truck arena lately, because the potential for a profitable part is much higher in that area at the moment than any other place in the R/C industry. We would love to build molds to cover every aspect of every vehicle in the market, but we are simply too small to make that kind of commitment. We will however, try to get as much as possible made for as many vehicles as we can. All I can ask is that you please have patience with us and please keep checking back with our new products pages just in case we are able to get something new for all of you T3 owners. I hope this helps clarify our position on new RPM products.
Thank you for your interest and patronage of RPM products. In addition, thank you for your submission of new product ideas. If you have any other questions or comments, please feel free to send us another e-mail.

Coming from a guy who has worked closely with a lot of small to medium companies on several different levels, I have to say that RPM is doing an amazing job if that is their actual size.
Nobody in RC doesn't know about RPM and all of their products. They have just as big a presence in the market as many of the bigger companies. They've done an incredible job marketing (the stickers on every other car you see is one big part of it ;)).
Kudos to them for putting the Big Guy look to such a small shop.

Can you refresh my memory? If i am correct, you are buying a used t3 correct?
Well, how you tell what model, the FT will have Ti turnbuckles and hingepins, carbon and graphite almost every thing, if it is team updated or FT then it will have the tanish colored shocks, CVD's, bearings, you'll need to paint the body, etc. Thats all i ran think of for now...

I still have found the front top plate to be fairly brittle, at least compared to the rest of the car. Besides, the fact that I own and operate a T3 proves that a T3 is one of the tuffest cars around ;)

Yeah they are expensive here so I can only imagine how much they must cost in Canada.
most people I race with said it was a bad move for me to go all aluminum in the front because its heavy.
But the truck jumps nice and level now and turns great at high speed. It really helped my driving.
also I hit the corner of a brick wall at full speed and not one part broke.
Can't beat that

Well, I'm back to racin' a T3 again. I had gotten rid of my Team versions of the B3 and T3 and was racin' a XXX "KE" and XXXT "MF" for a while, but I'm now back to racing the Factory Team versions of the T3 and B3. I had some pretty horrific collisons with my Team T3 when I used to race novice, but never broke a top plate. The Racer's Edge one pops up on Ebay quite frequently if you're thinking about getting one.

I like the agressive feel of the Associateds better. With my XXX, my laps time were usually in the 17-18 second range. With my B3, I've run a lot more laps in the 16 second range. My brother and friend like Losi better, but the Associateds fit my driving style brother. The Losi's were definitely easier to drive though. As far as breakage, I think that the AE cars are a little more durable as well. I was breaking steering blocks and carriers pretty easily on the XXX.

Rear shock mounts. :) I made 3 hole mounts for my T3, I havent tested them since I havent driven the truck in over a month, but it will add to the look, and adjustability to your vehicle.

Hey guys,
It sucks :( I was over at my friends house, driving my T3 around, wiht the 11x2, running just a 1500 batt pack, and, I took it off a jump that was just a foot high, and, when I landed, all the sudden I herd sort of a grinding noise, and aall the sudden it couldn't speed up past 1/4 throttle.
At first i thought something in the tranny was screwed up, nothting there, to make a long story short, one of the segments of the comm. maelted off so it was sticking out a 1/4 of an inch. The thing that sux is the motor isn't rebuildeble, so I need to buy a new one.
I called up my LHS to see if they could replace it for me. I was unsuccesful, they said I had it overgeared :( SO what do you guys think, I had it geared 16/87 with road rage tires, their manager said I should of had it at 12/87, whats the right gearing for a 11x2?
pudder
11-16-2002, 06:42 PM
Too bad... I think you are probably overgeared, but only the driver can tell that after a run.
I just broke the rear end of my Evader chassis off. :D I guess going 8 feet in the air, landing on pavement, while it is about -20 outside helped break it. :D
k_sw31
11-16-2002, 06:48 PM
Well, I sure dont think it was overgeared, i mean, it would lite the road rage tires up really good :)
Heh, I landed my T3 from 10 feet up right on the rear motor guard right on asphalt, nothing broke :) but, it landed so hard that it knowcked my gear mesh really tight  And I mean REALLY tight. :)
pudder
11-16-2002, 06:53 PM
Ya... I/m sure. The way to tell if you are overgeared is if you can't hold your finger on your motor right after a run for 3-5 seconds. Also can tell by performance but it sounds like your performance is fine. :)
Crashmaxx
11-16-2002, 09:06 PM
That couldn't be overgeared. I was using 17/87, exactly what AE recommends. But I don't know, it seemed to run like it was geared perfect, till it burned up, maybe it was overgeared.

11-17-2002, 02:02 AM

Like I said, only you could tell if it is overgeared. Your story is kinda like my Trinity motor problem. After a day at the track, I took home my buggy, opened up the motor and saw a wind blew off, and it was only a stock motor, nothing to worry about though I got an even better motor for 20$ :)

The Speed Gems Pro wears well
the P94 brushes last a good amount of time.
I just cut the comm for the first time.
I get about 8 runs before I need to cut it.
I'm now using integy motors for racing.
k_sw31
11-17-2002, 08:46 PM
So with the 15 turn i should cut it about every 20 runs? (or clean it) And how often would I need new brushes?
Is it worth it over other budget modifieds?
ViperStrike
11-17-2002, 08:59 PM
It all depends on the brushes.
The brushes they come with last a bit longer.
I was using the double shunt trinity ones.
Just look at the comm and if its really pitted and black then get it cut. If it’s just a little black use a comm stick on it.
If your brushes are purple or blue replace them.
Also they should be worn in a perfect C if the middle is of center your brush hoods are not properly aligned.
The Speed gems pro motors dont need as much work as hand wound motors IE the D4, P94, Reedy TI.

Viper - Very nice paint job on that body. What rims are they. Look good what ever they are.
k_sw31 - I am assuming you are talking about the speed gem 15t pro motor. The ones with the P-94 brushes. You should probably cut the com and replace the brushes every 8-10 runs or so. Now you see how great BL really are. BTW how is yours doing. I am thinking of gettin the same set-up 5300/warrior round christmas time if I am real lucky.
Well you guys may know me a TimmyRC10T3. That name wasn't working right so now am going to be using this one. I also have a pertty bad ass T3 like you too. I probably have done some of the craziest jumps with my T3. I have a link for everyone or it jumping. I am actuaclly pertty much making it like a Pede. I have Masher tires on it and it is geared 12/90 right now. Need some good weather to see how it runs/climbs/jumps. I have a 12T P-94 in there now and hope to get a new radio and BL for christmas.

If you have good luck with yours I might buy another one, would be better then this 17 turn speed gems 2 I have, or I will get a P-94 if I have enogh cash. Maybe I should just go BL again, but I like this GT7 so much! If only my GT7 was a BL controller, that would be sweet, all the performence, longer runtime and no replacing brushes, wait isn't that exacly what novak's bl will be?:D

This is more of an Evader thing but I think you may like it...
became inspired by this project when I broke my Evader's chassis after landing the rear end of my chassis on the edge of a step from an 8 foot jump... also buy another guy who has already done this, but not quite like I did mine.
I started looking at the truck one night, remembering this other truck that was made, and well that is where I got the idea to do this.
I started out by taking a battery and measuring the width of two cells on the chassis right behind the front brace since that is where I would place the battery. I then made my line across the chassis and cut it. After that I did some customizing to the rear chassis plate, and removing the rest of the broken chassis, I drilled 4 holes in the chassis and rear chassis plate. I had some spare screws lying over from project RC10 and nuts to finish, so I used those. At this point, the chassis still has lots of flex so I rigged up an aluminum brace, it doesn't help with the flex too much but it does make the overall look better and a nice spot to mount the battery on. For the antenna mount I couldn't use the stock one on the chassis so instead of borrowing one off of my other cars I drilled into the top plate and the chassis, then drilling another hole in the chassis to mount (see the picture for understanding better). For easy access, I glued a strip of velcro to the top plate, but sadly while drilling the antenna holes I somehow cut the wire and had to replace it. As usual, I just ziptied the ESC to the shock tower. Battery mounting was also easy, I just had to drill 2 holes on either side of the chassis and thread a ziptie through it.
For electronics I used my Novak Racer ESC, a stock 27t motor, nice low gearing, and JR XR3 radio. My first run was in my living room/kitchen with those narrow ribbed tires and losi step pins on the rear. My suspension was way too stiff and I kept flipping backwards from the power. I then softened the springs up, the truck now sat lower and swapped the step pins for some Pro-line Road Rage 2 tires. The truck was low enough so that it didn't flip backwards, and so I don't wear down those step pins too much.

KSW_31, I have been meaning to ask you this for a whille... why do you have blue shocks on the back and grey on the front?
k_sw31
11-19-2002, 07:48 PM
Well, almost a year ago, I bought a GT from my brother's friend. He used to have a T3, and he ran an 11x4 D4, when he go into a horrific wreck (curb+t3+40 mph, you do the math) he broke a ton of parts, and he calculated that it would take near 100 $$ to fix, so he gave up on it (it was a team edition kit). So when I bought his GT he gave me the remains of his t3 (not that much ;)) so I basically had some arms, and a few other parts from the front including the shocks and the tower. Other than that, I got most of the rear end (including the tranny) so basically I took the better parts off what he gave and threw them on my T3. :)

OK, so then:
a lot of broken parts=curb+t3+40 mph
curb=a lot of broken parts-t3-40 mph
t3=a lot of broken parts-curb-40 mph
40 mph=a lot of broken parts-curb-t3
I am pretty good at math.:p

I always used to break servos at my local track because coming out of turn 8, there was a wall on the outside that you would ride up and tweak the steering, i finally just got better at driving and stopped breaking.
My worst wreck is driving my t3 off a 3 story building, but believe it or not, it took doing that 5 times to finally break the top front plate only!!!!

I have a Hitec 645MG, and it works great.. nothing busted in the T3 or a 1/8th buggy on that servo.. but I want to get a digital, maybe a little quicker in the T3..
Only real issue i have had with it is that it doesn`t center perfectly. More so on the inferno than the T3.

Go get an FMA metal coreless servo. These things have so much torque (I don't know the numbers), and they're only $50. Ive had one for a year in my Rustler, and just put it in my FTT3. The only problem is, to get it in the T3, I had to custom-make a servo horn using that 4-horn thing that comes with servos and a Dremel.

The bumper itself is a custom t-maxx bumper on t-maxx bumper mounts, it is not really mounted on, I just stuck it there cause I thought it looked funny, but with a few zip-ties, it could work.
So just buy a t-maxx bumper and mounts, and zip-tie it on.

But your offer still sounds good, send me some pics to tamarac@comcast.net I will get back to you when my e-maxx auction ends on Sat.
