View Full Version : Replacement Screw for Hitec Servo
does anybody know the actual size of this screw and which one will fit? I see in tower that they have 2.6x8mm and 2.2x5mm and they're all out of it right now.
I've searched everywhere and no such luck finding those sizes.
Any alternative for these?
TIA!

If it's the screw that holds the arm on, and you have a plastic-gear servo, just use a 4-40 screw about 1/4-3/8 long. I use them on all my servos.
it's all metal servos... 625mg, 5625mg and 5645mg.
I have 4-40 screws from my Losi but it seems a bit big
email hitec for the screw size.

I have drilled out the hole with a #39 drill, and tapped with a m3x.5 tap.Since my car has these all over,I find it very convenient. You must dissassemble the servo to keep chips out .:)

That's why I swapped all mine to 4-40 screws. I also hate Phillips screws and self-tapping screws. I just screwed it in, but I suppose you would have to tap a metal output shaft.
