The Ikarus Piccolo has a span of about 20 inches. Another small heli is the MS Hornet. Both have their strong and weak points, but from what I have seen, there seems to be a bit more of a market for the Piccolo than the Hornet. (as in hop-ups and exposure)

I have a Piccolo with fixed pitch (collective pitch also available) on the way and I will let you know how it flies when it arrives.

Hi,

Another helicopter with a small rotor diameter are the Feda and the Skylark.

Go here: Amersfoort Airport (http://www.amersfoortairport.com/indexe.html) and click on the 'Helicopters' button.

The Feda and Skylark are knock-off's of the Piccolo. Replacement parts are hard to come by for the Feda and Skylark. If that style of heli is what you want, go for the Piccolo. You will have world wide parts support and a much better air-craft (quality). I have flown the Feda, Skylark and the Piccolo. The Piccolo was the easier one to fly and offered a lot more enjoyment (Piccoboard is very easy to use, lighter than seperates).

Hello,

Here's my two cents, I'm the type of buyer that like what he sees and gets what he wants. Money in not an object in this hobby, just as long, as it is spend correctly.

Feda. I have seen Feda Helicopters on Ebay, and some have reported that Feda helicopters are a great little flyer. I made a thread on the on the other board, with one simple question. Service and parts.....

I called some hobby stores, outside and within US... One question in mind. Service and Parts.........

I balance things out. I got a Piccolo.

Before one post, a response to my post. Please sit back and think and ask one simple question....... I am buying an expensive heli. because it's inexpensive or am I buying it because it's proven to fly and hassle free with 100% service and Parts, loaded in stock here in the USA.

I was a pinky shy from buying a Humming bird, but I asked the same question that I would like to ask yourself. Do you want to fly with stress or with loads of Fun:)

Yours,
genovia

Maybe I didn't translate correctly from Dutch to English, but I assume you understood what I meant to say.

And that is NOT true!

What I meant by that statement is that noone that I have found in the US carries parts for those heli's. You are the first business that I know of outside of Asia that carries parts for them.

Aus. sells the Feda, and my cousins in the Philippines flies them. From what they told me. The Feda is a hit down in Europe and Asia.

I just wish, that there's a distributor, that sells them here. The Ikarus Humming bird comes in a Feda box, but then again even Ikarus is having a hard time. Keeping up with the Humming bird costumers demands for parts. (Helicopter World.com..... SUCKSSSSSS...)

I am not against this heli. I just wish there is more of it here and the availablity of the parts are accessable here in the States.

Mario,

I have read your post on the other side, to keep the fun alive, can you start a post here? I know that this forum is slow, but as a vendor, wouldn't you like to start and build a follower here in RCzone? That would be a cool thing to do.

Your palm size heli? I like it:)
