Futuba Plug

7.4KG/CM
0.33 Seconds
4.8 Volts

To be used on a RC10GT

Will this also work with the Ace Jaguar radio system?

Thanks!

Brand is GWS (Grand wing servos)

0.33 travel time is kinda slow for a servo to be used in a car. tho its got a fair amount of torque

Agreed, .33 is a "standard" servo. What does 7.4KG/CM equate to in oz/inches? :)

For steering, I like to go 69 oz/in or better so it holds the wheels in hard corners, with a 60º transit time of .18 OR LESS. For the throttle, it's even more important to have a fast servo, I use Futabas that have .11 speeds, here is why:

When you're on full throttle and you hit the brake, the servo head has to move across it's full extent, from one side to the other, to begin to apply the brakes. I tested this with a stock .33 speed servo by giving it a push by hand across the patio. From the time I hit the brake to the time the truck came to a full stop it traveled 6 feet.

Imagine how far it would travel doing about 30 down the back straight! :D

GWS makes good commidity gear, however, they primarily target electric flight. GWS servos also have a reputation for having somewhat softish plastic gears in their servos. So, for flight on a control surface, they work very well, however, constant pounding from a nitro car (from steering), would probably wind up with constantly stripping the servo gears.

I like GWS and own some of their stuff (servos, receivers, etc), however, I don't think I'd feel good about using it in a nitro car. Especially so, for something like steering. A GWS servo for throttle, as long as you can find one fast enough to keep you happy, would probably be okay.

7.4kg/cm = about 100oz/in of torque

Yeah my brake in the GT suck, and i cant adjust the brake/throttle trim cause the knob on the radio is broken, an if i send it to get fixed i will be unable to run my truck for 2 weeks at least!
