With my completely lacking skills, I managed to screw up the painting on a new HPI M3 GT 200mm body. It's awful. I want to strip it and start all over. Can it be done, or is it new body only?

The paint I've been using is acrylic, it's the Kyosho Polica.

Thanks.

I have succesfully removed paint from a body with nitro fuel before. You really have to rub a lot though.....

If you're gonna use Blue Thunder to rub off the paint DON'T let it sit on the body to long if the paint is already rubbed off!!! It made my 190mm supra have a bluish tint

The only problem with stripping with fuel is that the lexan tends to cloud a little, but I have seen it done and it does work out pretty well.

FYI: Factory bodies (like the body that comes with a T-maxx and such) are painted to last (not using the same kind of paint we are using) I tried to strip a pre-painted body one time, and after 3 hours, 1/4 gallon of BT, and a bunch of brushes and scrubbers I gave up. The stuff just doesnt want to come off easy :)
