Does any one know where I can get a new Super Athlete body to paint? I can only find bodies for the newer Mugen cars.

Steve, Thanx for starting a Super Athlete forum.
Geneh,
I've seen a couple used bodies on e-bay in the past. I was looking for one with the same measurements as the original but I'm not sure which body will work.
Is the engine placement on the Super Athlete the same as ANY other buggies? Aren't most engines mounted on the other side?

Yes. The motor is on the right side of the car instead of the left like other cars.

There is a guy selling a brand new super athlete rolling chassis with un-painted body over in the hobbytalk forum for $150.
I'm tempted to buy it myself and use it just for parts.
Check it out at http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?threadid=53561&highlight=athlete

Does anybody have the original instruction book for the Mugen Super Athlete? One of the guys in the Mugen booth at the RCX show in Anaheim promised to mail one to me if I sent my address to his office. I have sent it three times and continously tried to reach him by phone but he has NOT replied to e-mails or voicemails.
Maybe someone has one to copy and fax or mail. I will trade some company goodies for your time.

I broke some front suspension parts last time out and thought I was screwed as far as getting replacement parts but my LHS suggested using GS Storm parts and they worked great! Of course other parts might not be compatible but it's worth a shot.

One way is to use wheel adapters so the with of the car increases and u can use monstertruck tires.
