I just bought a used M-8 Limited transmitter and I am considering buying the Novak module and a couple receivers that are capable of changing channels without using crystals. I don't have any experience with them and could use some advise as to if they work well or not. I will appreciate any help given....Don

I have the standard version of the M8 that I've been using with that combo without any problems whatsoever. We've been using the Novak receivers since they came out (both in electric and nitro) and have nothing but good things to say about them. I purchased the Switch module a couple weeks after it was released this year and it's also been bulletproof - it's (at least in my M8) a bit of a tight fit and somewhat tough to remove from the radio, but that's not an issue since there's no reason TO take it out. Not sure if they're all like this or it's just my module or radio being off a little, mechanically it's (again) been flawless..

Bulletproof - Agreed

Tight Fit - Agreed, but as stated, there is no reason to remove it.

Bang for the Buck - Oh yeah.. If i remember right, the Switch costs the same as ~3 crystal sets.

I got mine from kthobbies.com the week they were released. :)

One thing I forgot to mention, the bang for the buck comment is what made me think of it...

I'm not sure if they're available separately or not yet but the new JR RS300 synthesized receiver also will work with the M8 and is going to be a bit ($20 or so) cheaper. It *is* a little larger than the Xxtra, but performs just as well.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies back to me. It makes me feel better about going that direction instead of wondering if I was about to do a bad thing or a good thing. I appreciate all of your help.....Don
