I got a 40" Super Hawaii I just finished. I replaced the Dual 550's with a Brushless Novak SS Motor & ESC (soon adding another SS for dual brushless power). Added Stainless Adjustable Trim Tabs and added Bearings and a Thrust Bearing instead of Bushings. I Just finished it Today and hope to run it next weekend. I'll try and get some action pics, as for now this is all I have.

Ok. I'll take some pics for you Guys.

Has anyone ever tried the dual brushless motors?

I figured I'd split the signal from the receiver to 2 different ESC's & run one 6 cell 3300 battery pack to each ESC.

How hard would that be to get both ESC's working together?

or is there a better way to do this?

here are the only pics I have right now - due to my boat is with a buddy at the hobby shop (I don't have a soldering Iron so he's doing some soldering for me).

esc pic.

I'll post the finished pics once the wires are shortened and direction of them from the motor is changed along with the running gear pics. still debating on what kit i'm gonna buy - Looking at a dual rudder system and maybe converting to direct drive setup with a watercooled engine mount until I'm ready to run both brushless motors.

Gee its a pity you didnt ask before you laid out you r money

The twin rudder systems are just drag on an electric altho you can cut it down to work for you

Brushless will struggle a bit but it may be ok - its bound to run pretty warm really you need two

Twin stock motors can be made to run ok twin cheap modifieds will run in the high 20's

A cheap setup is a 700 bb and 12-16 cells

Then a Mega 22/30 - which goes like a bat out of hell on 12 c

Then a Lightning EM brushless the king of brushless with beautiful finish and purpose built for marine use with inbuilt water cooling
