For those people who thought that you couldn't put a T-Maxx body on a Rustler, and that it would be "too big" and to the people who told me "people assumed you knew your stadium truck wasn't the same size as a T-Maxx", I present to you the Pro-Line Hum Vee Urban mounted on a Electric Traxxas Rustler. I know the body edges need to be sanded down, but I had to take/post these pictures to show people wrong. All it took was a little innovative modification to the body posts...if anybody is interest on HOW I did the mod, just let me know and I will post pictures on what I did...

It reminds me of this Dodga Dakota (sp?) with like 14 inch rims on it (it's not lowered either). Nice job tho, just goes to show that with a little innovation anything is possible.

ok it looks pretty good but what you need to do is get an all around set of tires like some proline mashers and either raise the front of the body or the suspention becuase it looks like its slanted.
then id say you got it :D

I already have 2 sets of Dirt Hawgs on the way and some more upgrades for my truck like aluminum shock caps, graphite shock tower, adjustable camber links....etc

nice work man, people have been asking and debating this topic for a long time and i think you are the first one to actually go out and do it.. well done
audiTT - i think you may be pushing it a lil trying to put it on your tc3, as for 1/8buggy tires (i asume you mean wheels?) on a tc.. hmmm can it be done??
anyway give it a go, i guess its the only way to find out right?!

Thanks for the compliment...I know a lot of people asked but nobody just went out and did it, and I figured that someone has to eventually so why not it be me. Especially the fact that there were some people who majorly doubted me, it made me want to do it even more. I had the $40 lying around (canadian) so I said the heck with it and gave it a shot. I am pleased with my resaults.

Nobody ever said it couldn't done, people said it would look too 'big' to fit right. Which is kinda does. The wheelbase is too long, especially since the fronts move back as well as up when the suspension compresses, and the tires are too small for my taste. I tried an F350 Maxx body on my MRC truck, and it looked too awkward, and the tires are about 5" tall.
But hey, if you are happy with it, more power to ya'.

came out nicely, looks good
RageATheM---> People were doubting you about those bodies not fitting?......I did the same thing by mounting a Lamborghini on my T3....and Putting the stock T-Maxx body on my GT......I'll have to mount them bodies again and take pics of them and post when I have a chance......You're right, it only takes having an idea and some innovative modifications to the body and/or vehicle......good job!!

You should've waited just alittle longer. Proline now has a Hummer H2 body for the stampede, which is smaller than the tmaxx hummer. It would've made a better fit. Check it out on their website ot towerhobbies.

I didn't have to wait, I could have got the H2 but I didn't for 2 reasons:
1. I don't generally like the look of the H2
2. I love Hummer and its the one I want.
BTW I will be getting more pictures probably next week of the front end raised to the proper position, and with new rims/wheels so it will look soooooo much better. Hopefully by then I will also have my hop-up parts that I ordered.

I don't like the H2 much either. But have you seen the new stampede hummer h2, they made it more humvee like with the bed. It actually doesn't look bad. www.pro-lineracing.com

Yeah I might get one EVENTUALLY but the top of my list was a hummer...the only thing I find looks a bit off on the hummer being on my chasis is the fact that the front end is low, but I am going to fix that this weekend. I got $100 in hop-ups on back order that should be getting here within the next week or two
