t-maxx fuel tank

has anyone else had the misfortune of their t-maxx 2.5 tank cracking besides me?...i wanna see if i should get this steel tank ive seen, just get a new stock tank, or get the stock tank and some kind of protector for its side...

Mine cracked to! I was pissed not sure how I did it but oh well stuff happens lol!

You guys will never believe this but hardcore racing makes a machined aluminum gas tank, with the same capacity. too bad it doesn't have the quick fill lid... looks cool though.

to what i kno, i think it cracked when i flipped the car...the way its setup is that the tank rests on top of little supports which r screwed into the chassis...if the car lands on the top of the tank, the tank will be pushed down into the chassis, causing those parts to hold but every other portion of the tank that isnt supported to get the entire force...hmm...maybe i should make some kind of cage for it...anyone kno where i can find titanium or steel strong enough to withstand a direct impact to the tank?...dunno if aluminum will do...
