That's what I'm looking at getting two or 3 of. I have a few questions.

Is there a 5 cell dry cell holder for recievers that I could use to bulid a 6.0v pack?

Do ni-mh batteries lose their charge without being used outside of the charger?

There probably is a 5 cell AA batter holder out there somewhere but its probably 5 cells side by side. Honestly, it would probably be a lot easier if you just bought a 1100MAh NiMH reciever pack from Venom or Trinity or someone. NiMH batteries do self discharge at a rate of like 1.2% per day. All I do is just top up my Tx and Rx batteries when I'm gonna run my car. NiMH aren't supposed to need discharging but it does help them maintain there charges and reduce false peaks (if using a peak detection charger). NiMH packs don't have the memory problems that plagued NiCd's either. Hope this was of some help.

The problem with most tx/rx chargers is that they don't stop charging. I would like to just leave my batteries plugged in and this (link above)charger would allow me to do that.

Plus the futaba tx/rx charger I have charges at a snails pace. I can't guarntee I'll be around 15 hours later to unplug my batteries, nor can i plan 15 hrs ahead to have my batteries at "peak" . I just want to always have the batteries in the charger, and yank them out when i need them.

And the more expensive hobbico accu-cycle charger is not as ideal since the mJ radio i have uses loose cells, and I couldn't use it to charge them.. or could I?

yea it'd be nice to have that 6 volts...FYI I bought the 8 cell version of the charger you linked for 28 bux I believe...I'll let you know how it works.

The same site also has a 24 pack of 1800mah AA's for 23.99...so I picked up a 24 pack and a charger for 60 bux shipped to my door.

edit, ok I was wrong..its a 10 peice charger.

I have a JR Racing XR-2, does anyone know what the polarity of the charging jack on it is? I can't find it in the manual or anywhere online. This is probably because they want you to buy there $20 cheap wall charger for it. I'd prefer to use my peak charger. Right now when I need to peak up my Tx pack I take the "clip" out of the Tx and hook it up with this adapter I made. I just think it would look a lot more finished if I could just plug the charger directly into the Tx.
