Having been out of the hobby for a while I wondered if anyone was using any lube in their trannys? I know the manual doesn't call for it on my B3 and I'm not talking dif lube, but actually for the remaining gears. You B4 folks chime in too since that may be my next car ;)
We used to use dry graphite on the older cars, but that was before graphite gears :p
Anyone using anything? Nothing? (mention type of vehicle please)

Moderators: Please delete this, my latest thread. Mr. Sheridan, in his infinite wisdom, has been kind enough to point out it uselessness and for that, we should all be thankful and not bothered any further by such drivel.
Thank you.

Hey MachWon!
I don't use any lube in my B3 or B4 transmission. If you are going to, I would suggest a dry lube such as white lightening (it can be purchased at bicylcle shops) By the way, trolls only thrive when they get attention. They are easily defeated by ignoring them. It's like poison.

"Asshats is as Asshats does."
New members will not get a very warm welcome by assuming an air of superiority. To my knowledge, the B4 is an electric and does indeed have a differential.
MachWon, Do not lubricate the diff gears in your B3. The Stealth tranny was designed to be run with the gears dry, lubricant of any kind on the gears themselves will only accellerate wear and will not make you any faster. The only lubricant required in the diff is a a little smidge of silicone in each of the diff ball holes to keep them rolling on the diff washers smoothly, and even then be careful not to use too much so the centrifugal force does not sling it out and get it all over the gears. Just enough to fill the holes before you put the balls in.

Thanks again bud! (you too Richi)
That's exactly the answer I was looking for and precisely how I've been set up from the git-go:)
One of the multiple threads I came across during my search had everyone using white lithium. Me? I think I'll keep her dry.
Cheers!
