It looks like CEN has decided to enter the world of competition touring cars with the introduction of their new CT-4R nitro touring car. The CT-4R is a kit car that includes many of the same features currently found on competition-level cars. Plus, the CT-4R has an extra advantage for those that have an interest in "larger-then-legal" engines - it fits a big block engine without the need for any conversion parts. As shown below, the CT-4R can be power by a race-legal small block up to a .21 or even a .27 engine. We'll pass along more information as we receive it.

Crap! That totally sucks, what a low-life, low class piece of crap!('m talking about the thief, not the car, lol)
On another note, you know the car is good when people make the effort to steal it, ;) I'm sorry though.

CEN,
Please don't include those V-rage from Pro-line like the Nitro 4-tec does. Get foam or belted slicks on there. Thanks

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. I like to see Cen making a pro-style car, personally.

Hey fellows- I read an article the other day that said they are making a full race version and that it would have a three-speed that is adjustable!!!! That means you could put a modified 21 in it , adjust the shift points to match the horsepower of the engine , go thru all 3 gears and really be flying. The one thing I dont like about my fusion is the fact that you cant adjust your shift points to match the power curve of your engine.
hey what article did you read? i wanna see!:D

I read the article in rc car . They mention that a three speed was in the works !! I sent cen an email I asked them if the three speed would be adjustable and they said yes it would be .

We will be filming a stock CT4 S (RTR version) top speed run (70mph) and CT4 R (Pro kit) with .21 engine powered in the next following few days. We will upload videos onto website for download. Feel free to check it out in the next 2 weeks or so.

I've seen the ads for the CT4 S in the latest RCCA. Now the 70mph claim, is that with a bb.15 or a .21? And which engine will be in the RTR?
To have a .21 (or bigger) and a 3 speed would be simply sick. How have you managed to keep all that power to the ground without sacrificing the handling a la the Fusion? The tires must be made out of plastic!

Spenzalii- If you are going for a land speed record go with the rubber tires because when they balloon out I have been told that changes your rollout so you can get a higher top speed. For running high speed oval, road courses go with the foams change shock oil, springs etc. My fusion handles pretty good, It reminds me of how my 1995 serpent vector handled. The one problem that I have with my fusion is the non adjustable tranny that does not become aproblem until you put a high output motor in

Wow. I didn't think you could swap the motor in the fusion. Learn something new every day

CT4 S comes with a standard high reving, 3 ports BB 2.5 or .15 engine. YOu can also drop a .21 into it without any hassel.
As for handleing, CT4 S is design based on our pro kit CT4R which will be attending Roar nats..etc so handleing is not a issue even with 3 speed and .21.

Spenzalii- I modified my thunder tiger 21 engine I ported the sleeve and turbo the crankshaft . I based my engine port modification on a old sleeve that was modified by Ron Paris the combination of the two modifications made a motor that is too powerful for the fusion tranny, if it was adjustable you could adjust your shift points to match your engine power curve. The reason alot of these cars dont handle is you need to fine tune them by that I mean adjust caster,camber,toe-in, toe-out, droop, shock oil ,springs, body types . But the cen car has alot of good stuff on it, like pivot ball suspension, the fact that you can put in a 12,15,18,or 21 size engine without having to hand make the parts yourself!!!! AND IF THEIR THREE SPEED IS ADJUSTABLE LIKE I WAS TOLD IN MY E-MAIL I AM BUYING ONE .

The only thing that scares me is parts support. If they have a good on-line support, I will get one no question. And if teh car can really gat 70mph with a bb .15 (I want proof!), well, it will be the sleeper drag racer in the street.

We are taking the CT4 S (RTR version) to the California drag strip and video type it doing 70mph. Only there you can have enough room to achieve 70mph. Local track is not big enough for sure.
we have lots of online stores that carry full line of parts. Check out the link section on our website.

Damn, that was quick....
OK, if the RTR will shoot 70 (it's a pull start bb?) that's great. And if the Pro and RTR will fit whatever you throw at it short of a 2 stroke, well, it sounds like the ultimate all purpose machine

Well, I'm here to tell you that I am lucky enough to be one of the proud driver's running the new CT4R! In the past I ran the Associated NTC3 as well as several other makers of nitro sedans and they don't compare to this new cen car. This car is very adjustable, it's forgiving and extremely easy to drive. So.... before anybody makes any comments about this car, you'd better race against one first! And I'll be willing to bet, you won't be in front of it when you cross the finish line either.

I've been chewing it over, and it looks like the killer cheepo combo for this car is either version of the chasis, a 2.5 engine and a three speed. The ultimate pull start sleeper car. They'll never know what hit them!

sorry to jump in like this but does anyone here have a photo of CEN's Citroen Xsara body?
i think the photo on the site is of a static model......
i've been looking for a few months now and the only other that makes them is Protoform but the body looks slightly out of scale and the wheel wells are an odd shape.....
i guess i got spoiled on Tamiya bodies....
but i want to be sure before i plunk down the cash for two bodies.....
anyone?
the Protoform body....
