The popular Savage .21-powered monster truck from HPI now had optional woven graphite side plates available.

Does anyone know the price or thickness of those side plates?

Hrrrm.
The factory TVPs helped wick away heat, I doubt the graphite will do it.

Why would you want carbon fiber for a monster truck chassis. Have you ever seen a Indy car crash that is what they are made of and they turn in to dust and small pieces about the size of a chihuahua's head.

The way I explained it to some people at the show, the upcoming graphite chassis would be great for racers (because of their lower weight), the new Super Chassis plates (7075 aluminum, the best) would be great for jumpers/"extreme" types and the stock chassis (as well as the new purple, blue or gold anodized chassis, which are the same material as the stock chassis) are still good for anything else.
Don't forget to mention those new Dirt Bones tires! Those will be coming out soon also.

I just noticed the dirt bones! I was going to say something until Frank did. Frank I'm assuming you work fro HPI, right? How do these tires compare to others on the market (like pro-lines bow ties)? Also what kind of foams do they include?

hey frank...get them to make a longer wheelbase version of at least one of these chassis..
one of my freinds has the "new era" LWB plates..an absolute bolt on,and it transforms the Savage into a GREAT handling truck..way more stable..
