is this a good electric helicopter for the money? I really want to get a helicopter, but dont want a crappy one. I also want one that isnt too advanced, so like a begginner-intermediate. Would this one be good for me?

I would get this kit listed below since I have no aircraft RC stuff currently, only on road car stuff.

It is a decent heli. I have seen one flown indoors and is relatively stable. The only problem I see with it is lack of support. I know of noone that is making hopups for it. I have not heard of any forums for it other than RC Groups Electric Heli section.
With the Ikarus Piccolo, they have an abundance of upgrades for it and a very large following on their own forum... I have the Fun Piccolo with a few hopups and am having a lot of fun with it. I think I have $300 total into it (bought used).

Consider a "Hybrid" micro heli.
Have someone build it for you if you are not sure about it. Get an Rc heli pilot to help you with the learning curve.
Although with a hybrid your learning curve will speed up only because you will have the best of all worlds in terms of micro heli components. DO NOT get a heli with tail gears this is more trouble for beginners. a motroized tail heli is the way to start if you want minimla fuss.
Ask Helihobby. Sean, tell him Mario sent you. Ask him about the parts I am making to retrofit all micros.
There are other posts in the E Zone RC groups electric heli forums that talk about people building hybrids. TO give you an idea:
MIA G10 frame Kit with spring wire landing gear struts(guaranteed toughest unbreakable) Hornet rotor mechanics, blades, MIA or Piccolo motorized tail gear box.
From time to time I build custom micro helis for people, I am currently building some for some friends.
Here is the stuff I use.
