Not quite commercial yet but the above photo is a preview of what I have been working on since last year as a follow up to my House FLY series of "Sub-Micro" helis which I made available a little over a year ago.

I have chosen "Palm Size", as the most logical name designation to categorize this new revolutionary size of miniature flying helicopters.

Enjoy!

How many channels does this bad boy fly on?

HouseFLY

Currently 4. But not the typical 4 channel config as in a standard heli set up. It uses a customized electro/mechanical setup to do away with the flybar mechanics and provide auto stabilization.

Will the standard 4-channel radio work with it though?

HouseFLY

Yes a standard 4 channel transmitter will work with such.

Can you provide any specifications on it? I read at RC Groups that it has a 6 inch rotor diameter. How long is it? Was it designed with LiPoliy's in mind?

Please forgive me I can't give out further details. It will eventaully be made available just a matter of being patient.

Hello Mario,
Congratulations on such a tiny helicopter. Do you have any plans or intentions of making the design information available (an article or such)? That should be a fun project. Thanks for sharing.
Regards, Dave

do u think the production model can lift an unopened soda can or .15 engine out of the rc truck or even better lift off the truck while the truck is running and slowly moving

also how will durability and max speed/altitude be approximately

hi house fly I'm new to the world of heli's. I have some question for you,
1. do you know when these palm sized helie's will be on the market approximately?

2. have you considered using 4 blades on a heli instead of 2 and then just making the four blades half the size of the two?

Some advice to make these realy cool helie's more popular is to do a bit of advertisement when they come on the market. The general public would be very intrested in this type of stuff at least i am!

thanks

HouseFLY,
I love your heli's quite amazing! I live in the East Valley as well, but your website lists only one hobby store that carries your products. Can you tell me how to find D-J Hobbies? I can't seem to locate them, and none of the hobby stores I have spoken with seem to know anything about these palm-sized beauties!

Thanks. The key thing for MIA has always been, being able to recommend our products with inexpensive off the shelf RC equipment, otherwise hold off production. RC equipment is very tiny these days and available but still a bit expensive, we are still working on options and may have some new stuff availble soon. As always your E Mails with comments are welcomed. Below is a preview of some of our own tiny airplanes we are planning on offering along with some of our helicopter products.
