I have a question about the 3rd channel function on this radio. Can it be configured to work as a 3 servo position switch? I would like to have the servo stops at three different distinct position. I know the Futaba 3PDF does this but for some reason I can't find this radio anymore in Canada. The JR XR3 only has 2 positions.

I want to use this radio with my Tamiya tractor/trailer and use the 3rd channel to shift gear on the transmission. It's a 3 speed tranny so I need something that works as I described above. And Airtronics for some reason don't post the manuals online.

The m8 would be a better radio for what you want to do. I have an MX-3 and I don't think that can do what you want it to.

Or the vanguard series may be able to help(aircraft based, my friend uses one for his brusier)
