Can anyone help me with choosing a good servo.
I'm going to start racing 1/8 buggies and can't decide on what servo's to run. I have a few in mind, like KO PROPO PDS 2144, Airtronics 94358 z erg-vb, Hitec HS5945.
If anyone else can recommend any servo, i would appreciate it very much

Cheers

I had a Hitec 5645(similar to the hitec you are talking about). It was on steering for my monster pirate and had no problem moving the tires. id say the hitec

The airtronics one is more expensive I think, and the KO may need a booster lead.

No prob, LMK if I can help you anymore

I just found a LHS that has a airtronics package : M8 controller, receiver, two 94358 z erg-vb high torque servos, tx rx batteries and charger all for $ 598.00.

Thanks for your help much appreciated

94358 on steering for sure
however i wouldnt put one on throttle because they tend to blow up on throttle. i don't know why but they just do. it's prolly because the motor is so burly that it actually drains enough current to blow itself up when you stall it (where it wants to go farther but cant). also the metal gears will tend to develop more slop over a period of time on the throttle than a plastic gear servo would. i've got a 94738 on throttle it works plenty well enough.
just my $.02

Cheers thanks champ
Another question. I've been told not to use digital servo on the throttle, as the load it produces can blow it self up. Can anyone comment on or have any information about this.
Like always any information is greatly apreciated no mater how small, as i'm new to the sport

Cheers

Use analog on your TH/Brake.

If you do you use digital, turn off ABS or set very low and set your EPA's.

Most all issues with digital servos on Th/Br are caused to improper EPA settings.

Digitals produce a lot more toque.
