first off u have to kno that graphite itself conducts electricity.
more then likely it's ur batteries that are shorting on it. put a peice of tape were the battery lead's touches ur chassis. secondly, check ur motor's negative and positive lead's. Make sure neither of them are touch the chassis. if they are, put a peice of tape on that spot so they dont touch it. another one would be putting ur receiver into a plastic box as a secondary insulation from the graphite. check for any knicks in ur attenna. seal them up if u see any.

ur story sounds very familiar. i rmember someone else complaining about how their speed gem motor or something fried or glitching and wouldn't run correctly. hope this helps

That would be me, I had a really bad problem with my RC car, it wouldnt go very far away, and even if i did make it go a small distance i would get severe wheel/tire glitching along with throttle glitching. I finally figured it out though. Try this. I put a piece of truck bedliner foam under my RX with double sided tape and stuck the RX ontop of that. That alone fixed all my problems, probably yours too.... if not let me know as i have some more ideas.
