Shown in Japan at the Shizuoaka Hobby Show, LRP announced a new Quantum Competition 2 speed control. Although we're not able to decipher much of the particulars that separate this from the current model, it appears to be a second-generation version of thier top-of-the-line competition speed control.
The Quantum 2 is reportedly 100% waterproof. apparently LRP is confident enough in this claim that thier display featured a Q2 speed control powering a motor for the duration of the event while submerged in a water tank.
The Q2 appears to feature dynamic drive frequency. This means the speed control is able to intuitively evaluate the driving conditions and adjust the drive frequency accordingly to provide the best performance for the conditions. It's said to maximum punch and run time.
The Q2 is 100% electronic - There are three set-up modes accessible through the two buttons installed in the face of the speed control.
I'm sure there's much more information to come about this new speed control, and it will be posted as soon as we receive a full list of features from the manufacturer.
