My friend has a T-maxx.. it is half apart rite now.. HE says something always frys his Receiver? Like within a Month... he'll have to replace it. Any suggestions? Its all Stock. Thanks:D

well, the only thing that can "fry" a reciever is by the imput voltage being to high, but i dont see how it could fry it unless it was the batt..but if hes using the 4-drycell configuration...i dont know whats wrong,...

The only thing that I can think of is water or fuel on the reciever. Wrap it in a baloon, or get a good reciever cover/ box to keep it from the elements.

A pinched wire could possibly cause a problem, but I doubt it.

well, he said it was a stock tmaxx, so the reciever belongs in the reciever box...so i dont think its water or fuel...could be tho

it could be in the shipping, maybe it fell down, Rx is very fragile!!

If its traxxas rx that could be it too. their radios are good at all. You can pick up a cheap futaba rx for almost nothing... invest in that

i fried a reciever once...

hooked up 2 servos to a Y harness...
one of the servo's wires were switched, so red went to black, and black went to white...

reciever = smoke:(
