I have a monster pirate with an XTM fail safe on the throttle servo. Recently the steering servo failed so I repaced the regular steering servo with a Digital Hitec 5645 MG servo. Now the servo for the throttle glitches. If I remove the fail safe then both servo's work fine.
How can I make the fail safe and the digital servo work together?
Thanks.
Plumbronco.
Are you running a 4 or 5 cell Rx pack?
If 4 cell, try a 5 cell.
Digitals require a little more power.

I am using a good 5 cell rechargable battery pack.

I have a Dominator with an Airtronics Blazer and the XTM fail safe. The failsafe stutters the servo then opens the throttle wide open. So much for failsafe. I exchanged the XTM with another and still glitch. Now I got a Dynamite failsafe and the same problem. Is there a failsafe that will work in this setup??? What is the problem??

I run Hitec digital servos on all my cars with the KoPropo failsafe and don not have any problems. A buddy gave me a XTM failsafe as a "spare", but it did the exact same thing you guys are describing. Servos glitched horribly. I can run it with standard servos just fine, but for some reason it does not work with the digitals.

I do not have digital servos. I think the problem might have started with the rechargable battery pack. Who sells the "kopropo" fail safe? There is some debate whether you really need a fail safe or not, but better "fail safe" than sorry. XTM has said it is not unusual to have glitch problems with the Airtronics radios. I'm waiting for Airtronics to call me back to get their take on things.

I ran a HS5645 on my Dominator with a SRM102 'Standard' Airtronics servo using a Venom Failsafe, Never any problems...
