I recently bought the Pitts Special Bi-Plane by Herr Engineering, and it works great with a graupner geared s400 motor. I used the samne motor that is shown on the SR Batteries X250. It works really good. And the kit is the easiest one I have built so far. If your looking for an in-expensive bi-plane that is easy get this one.

I've been building and flying RC airplanes for over 30 years.
I found the Herr Pitts to be difficult to build. A lot of the parts don't fit right and the construction is not as "modern" as some of the other planes i have built.
A GLARING omission is the total lack of any reference to the incidence of the wings. On a Bipe this is one of the most important things. Get it wrong and you will have a poor flying airplane (if it lives long enough)And Herr, by leaving out any reference to this most important setting, is doing a major dis-service to their customers.
I was in contact with 2 other fellows who built the Pitts and both had problems building. One converted to a speed 400 motor and thinks it flys okay but will NEVER buy another Herr kit.
Other Herr kits are great but the Pitts just seems to be a dog.
just my opinion and experence.
