any body have a good control throw amount for the lite stik, I had to move my wing back a little more than I wanted and found that even doubled throws give me marginal control (basicly no power no control full power good control) or is this normal for this plane? I'm thinking about putting the servos up front to get the cg further forward to give it more tail movement when I move the wing up front. any tips or ideals here? thank you

Jason,
My recomendation is to get as much as possible, even going as far as to drill an extra hole in the control horn closer to the rudder, in order to maximize throw. I have found that both my Cub and Stik have a "quirk", they make hard turns better if I close the throttle, and begin the turn. About halfway thru the turn, I goto full throttle, and complete the turn.

Another option is to preform the dihedral brace mod, that helps quite a bit. Finally, you could add ailerons, or make a full flying rudder, or both.

Just dont forget that this is a "relaxing" park flyer, and out of the box, it is a good plane, though not terribly responsive. A few simple mods makes it the ultimate "backyard, don't have time to goto the field and fly the 40% Extra" get in a quick flight or three type of plane...

thanks, I'll continue with what I am doing, I did get the wing and cg forward about an inch, haven't flown it like that yet. the first mod I did was to drill new holes in the horns, now I need longer servo arms to get any more throw. btw, I didn't go with any high dollar components on mine, I have the pixie 7 speed control, 2 hitech hs-50s, a 150 mah 7 cell pack and I used an old attack 4 am radio. I just removed the plastic case from the receiver and used it like that. I think the next mod will be dehidral braces, after that, another plane 8^)

Jason,
I bit the bullet with both of mine, and bought the GWS "PICO" flight pack, so I can use my 783....I love the size of the reciever and servos, and the battery pack is made of sanyo cells... I have, however, flown one with HiTech Focus 3 gear, and it flew fine, just not quite as slow as mine do, but that is because of the difference in wing loading. If you are interested in even more turning preformance, goto http://www.nyblimps.com, and click on the link for the "Famous Lite Stik" page. There you will find loads of info on how to make your Stik/Cub better. The one I am in the process of trying is the V-tail, wingeron mod......
