k ppl. stupid question, but i wana ask before i buy. Here (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBJB6&P=7) is a robinson racing slipper clutch. 72 teeth, plastic. it says:
This is the Double Disk Plastic Spur Slipper Kit for the Traxxas Tmaxx.
it says for tmaxx... but will it work on emaxx? i think it will, but i just wana be sure.

Yes. But the stock slipper is better

OK, I gotta bite on this one. Why is the stock slipper better? They don't seem as consistant as the Robinson ones IMO.

I think the 72 tooth would work, but keep in mind the stock EMAXX gear is a 66 tooth spur.

y is the stock better? if its a little bit lose, it wears out. thats what happpened to mine  i was used to having a slipper slip in my old cars, and because of that, i was never able to see a wheelie :( .

so i wana get the robinson slipper, because:
1) i can get a working slipper
2) upgrade so i can have a slipper that can slip if i want it to
3) get the 72 tooth spur to gear down. i got mild maxx motors and i thinks its overgeared. plus now i will have wheelies

LOL! A stock slipper is HORRIBLE when compared to a RRP slipper

Another thing that might be worth mentioning... If I"m not mistaken, you won't be able to put a RR replacement 66 tooth spur gear on that 72 tooth RR kit. The plates are bigger on the 72 tooth kit than the 66 tooth kit. If you ever want to go back to a 66 tooth spur with the RR double slipper, you'll have to buy another 66 tooth RR kit.

The RR slipper either slips too much or none at all, or both. When it slips, the Al heats up. When Al heats, it grabs, and galls, and wont slip any. That equates to a broken driveline. Use 1/8" carbide diff balls instead of pegs in your stock slipper. Wont wear any, more adjustable, and only costs $2.

Yes, I've owned one. Yes I've set it right. Yes, it was destroyed within one night of hard racing. Several others have had the same experience.

yea, I have seen a guy smoke one every heat, and it was set correctly. They are meant for stock motors, anything more...melted plastic.
