OMG Dood thats a list!!!! You have alot of questions I can I feel answer some.
1) DO NOT CUT HOLES IN THE AIR FILTER!!!!! Save your money and buy a motor saver air filter or the HPI upgrade filter.
2)No, The tubing doesnt melt. Its fine =)
3)Go to HPIracing.com and search the forum there under Savage .21 do a search. I know the main places are the lock screw on the 2 speed tranny and all metal to metal screw.
4)Mine goes really well in the grass so no problem there.
5)half thewindow is fine do the rear window and the passenger side window also. Dont bother with the light and grill area.
6)I have ran about 2 gallons threw mine and my pull starter has never faltered 1 time. I think its good to go!! =)
7)I dont understand this question but if you mean which is stronger which is faster. The Tmaxx in stock form is faster than the Savage. The Savage however when the engine dies can be upgraded to ANY engine with only buying the engine itself. On a tmaxx you would have to buy a bunch of parts for the whole conversion. you at some point have to change the motor and I feel this is where the Savage shines on its adaptability.
8)Do you mean the whole truck or just the body? The body can e lifted up and give it that raked look all leaning foorward so yes. U even get mounts for SUV type bodies.
9)Yes and no. It gets alot of traction which is a good thing. BUT in loose gravel and dirt yes it will throw stuff everywhere.
10)I dont think it would help to turn the tires around. It also is a mute point cuz the tires are REALLY grippy to begin with.
11)go to BallisticBatteries.com and get there Savage Battery pack. Its under 40 bucks and comes with an overnite charger and an extra lead to run out somewhere so you dont have to open up the radio box to recharge the battery. That in itself is a BIG plus!!!
12)Both fuels are good Im sure. I have never ran either though. Use a McCoy MC8 or an OS A-5 gloplug also. And get a good glo plug ignitor.
AND finally. PLZ in the future try and use the search or try and limit the number of questions U ask in a post. It really makes answering a bit of a burden. We all love to help but when the questions are so numerous it can be a chore. You will love your Savage. You should also go to MaxxTraxx.com and go to the forums there. There is a Savage.21 forum that is VERY busy and lots of good info to be had. Just try and search topics first as a courtesy to all the posters there and you will be loved by all =P I hope I dont sound like a jerk cuz I dont intend to be 1.
Good Luck and Grats!!!
