Hello, Group!
I'm a PRE-Newbie... Hoping to graduate to FULL Newbie this coming Sunday (the 8th) at what promises to be a real opportunity to learn, observe, ask questions, meet some of the nations best e-flyers.
Should any of you be attending, please consider bringing your older (Not necessarily latest technology!) no-longer needed e-power systems suitable for .40 size planes. I have decent radio gear already but lack ANY experience in e-power system design. Hoping to buy at a fair price: 1 or 2 complete systems to include motor, esc w/ bec, gearbox, shaft adapter, props, battery packs, wiring, fuses, arming switch, and ....(What did I fergit?).
For more info re: Shaw B'day, see Ken Myers' "The Future Is Electric" website. Click on site contents to view listing of upcoming events. There is even a link to a flier issued by the "Balsa Butchers", generous hosts of this event.
Hope to see you Sunday! Dan
ps: I'm the 50-ish guy with the wide-brim straw hat, pot-belly, full grey beard, goofy grin on his face.... Hey! I'm a Keith Shaw clone/wannabee!!!
:D (sorry, Mr. Shaw!)
