You may want to try a bigger fuel filter. The .21BB is a big engine. A filter for a 1/8 buggy may treat you better. Maybe this one:

Glow plugs barely make it through break-in

And one of these wouldn't hurt:

Just because rechargeable igniters can run out quick and you can use it a lot during break-in. D cells are readily available and can be changed as often as necesary. Buy this a second igniter. It never hurts to have 2.

Never run your truck with a dirty, or unoiled air filter and a little after run oil can prolong the life of your engine.

The HD dogbones are a great idea but leave the stock ones in until you start breaking them. The stock ones may last a good long time.

I was very impressed with how easy it was when I followed the directions and didn't touch anything until after it was broken in.
