We've got a new Savage and it's frequently slipping out of gear. Slipper is tight, set screw for gears is tight. I've read that the problem can be caused a bad one-way bearing. Any uggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like a bad one way. Does it happen when you're running fast and then coast for a second, and then the truck revs but won't go anywhere until you give it a shove? If so, that's a tranny one-way. Call HPI, their sending me a new one. And since you have to tear the tranny down anyways, it would be a great time to put in the reverse mod..................

Mine has done that once or twice as well....
I removed the cover for the two speed adjustment and sprayed some nitro cleaner in it.... then I drained it out and let it sit for a minute or two.... then I gave it a quick shot of WD-40....not too much mind you... That solved the problem right away.. no more slipping.
