i have an old (pre 2.5 maxx) that im in the process of updating, if i have the proline wide kit on it, can i put 2.5 shock towers and arms on it without any modifications? are the axles still the right length?

also for those of you that had an old maxx, but a 2.5 now, is it worth the 150$ for the 2.5 and install kit to put into my old maxx? and i like the easystart, should i get the new one also for the 2.5 or just a pullstarter?

i upgraded to the 2.5 from an original maxx (pre 2.5) i did it before the hobby shop even had parts (go ebay). anyway if you have the widemaxx from pro line its actually wider than the 2.5 arms, about a half inch on each side. so you can use those arms if you want too. the shock towers didnt change at all but they have more adjustability. i had to upgrade the axles to handle the power of the 2.5 engine. they are thicker than the pre 2.5 ones. length wont be an issue however you might want to consider going with CVD if you have the widemaxx cause the axles will be stectched out pretty far and there wont be much inside the axle to handle the torque, so you might break them after some use. if you dont want too get the cvd's then get the 2.5 arms and the thicker axles. youll also have to do some work on all the linkage but thats all in the kit. total i spent 310 for everything but that was when everything was coming out and i wanted to be the first to have it so i paid for it, and i mean i paid. anyway i love the truck and its a blast to drive. i havent had any real big prob but i tried jumping a dumpster area that was built into the land that had to be at least 15 ft wide and i made it.... almost, i slammed the top of the truck into the 6x6 surrounding it and shattered the engine head and gas tank. anyway its fast and its fun and i wouldnt recommend anything else. so impressed i had my brother buy an emaxx. i also put the new mgt on order form tower. i have to sell two of my super nitro rallys in order to afford it but hey, i want one... take care and good luck
