what car? do you race?

I'd go with Deans connectors...

unless you race, then the motor or tires would be more important.

but I'd go Deans Ultra plugs first out of all those.

I would get some trinity r-minus connectors.

Well if your car has bushings then the first hopup should always be bearings.

for first time vehicles, build it according to the instructions, don't take shortcuts. Run the vehicle as is to get a feel for it. As your driving gets better, and familarity gets better then go for improvements: bearings, motor, pinions (assortment needed as you start using different motors) replacement parts (breakage or durability), shock oils & spring assortment and the misc items motor cleaner and motor oil for bearings/bushings. Better charger or batteries with higher capacity or even better ESC & Radio system. Most RC vehicles come in a variety of forms: kit (basic or Team which include all the high end parts), partial assembled, RTR (ready to run, some with radio) plus can be upgraded or improved with a host of parts and accessories. It's hard to say what you need or may help as most guys like a personal touch to their vehicle. You may want one that's duarable, or one with highly polished aluminum parts or one that is good but cheap or one that you may want to race.
