Where do you get the fuel for these jet engines? Do they ever run em off propain? Trying to settle a dispute.

I don't have one , but i think they use kerosene and i think you can get it from small hardware stores and chemical supply retailers .

Hi,
I don't know about your dispute, but the engines I have been around are started running on prpane, and then switched over to a kerosene base jet fuel when the temperature is high enough.

Under "Specifications" heading it lists the fuels used in AMT's engines. Of course kerosene, paraffin and white spirit are similar fuels used most often (I would think) in lamps, like ones you might find at walmart in the outdoor camping supplies.
But if you are really gonna go to this level with your model airplanes, go visit your local airport (yeah, a real airport) and look for the "general aviation" area. If there are jets or turbo-props there, you can buy real jet fuel from them. I don't know what kerosene cost a gallon, but Jet A is about $3 a gallon. Ask for it without prist.
