how hard would it be to put a novak brushless into a t3?

could the tranny hold it?

how fast would it be?

It should drop right in with out any problem, you might eventually strip out your idler gear but if you keep your slipper set properly it shouldn't be a problem.

Top end will depend on gearing. If you gear it properly you should expect speeds in the upper 30's (most likely 37-38 mph) which is pretty dang fast in a stadium truck especially off road.

I have a BL in my T3 and it's no problem. The system plugged right in and it works fine. I beefed up the tranny a little with a Robinson titanium top shaft for the stealth tranny, but that's the only trans modification I've done. Well, I also put new teflon bearings in the tranny as well, but that's all.
Just for measure, I replaced the stock aluminum CVD's with MIP shiny steel units. I'm not sure if the aluminum units would break under brushless conditions, but I put the steel units in anyways.
Othee than those few mods, it's a regular FT T3 all the way, and it hauls butt!

The T3 has no problem handling the power. I have been running a lehner 5300 in my T3 for a while, which has more RPM and torque than the novak, and I have not broken a thing in terms of tranny parts. :)

This is the honest truth. A buddy of mine has a brushless B3 and it whipped on a TC3 with a 9turn motor. This was a strait drag race. The B3 had nothing done to it besides the BL setup. It was on off road tires and everything. The TC3 (okay it was mine!) was setup with foams. We raced 3 times and he beat me 2 out of three, not bad at all! I became a believer in BL setups after that night.
