Did you run the boat today?

How'd she do? All go well?

You're running a P275ss on your boat right? If you feel that its the prop for you, then I have a deal for ya'.

This here is a new 275ss thats in the process of getting worked ie, balanced & polished. My idea was that it would look nice along with the rest of your polished running gear.

How about we trade 'even'? I'd like to contribute a little something to a fellow "Team Wakeballs" members new boat.:)

DD - prop looks awesome.

Nitro - Can't wait to Hear/see how the run went.

I need to learn how to balance and sharpen props.
since I now know how to polish :)

Same applys for you Dusty.

You'll most likely be running a stock 280 like Shannon is right? Humm, problem is my not having an extra one laying around to swap. If so, we could do it also.

btw, the one is the photo is getting worked. I have to walk away for a day or two, work an hour, put it down and on and on.. Especially the SS, you wetsand the dull off, then I like to take micro files and cut the pitted areas. Of course doing that takes time, but then you've got to remove the file marks with sandpaper, to get a good even surfac and still haven't started balancing yet...lol

You send me your prop and I'll make it happen. The copper props are a snap!

No running yet at all guys. Had a wonderful suprise right before the weekend with my now non existent job. Nice suprise eh guys! No biggie, I'm the kinda guy that won't sit on my A$$ but have been running arond picking up a couple extra $$ on the side this weekend. Going to solder the ferrule tonight so Ishould be able to get it in the water Monday or Tues. But you know I will post the instant I'm done with it. Wanted to finish today but had a friend offer some $$ for my time so why not.

My bad. The mail was for Steve.

Dusty, send me a prop and I'll take care of it for you if you want and do some slight mods of cutting the tounge off to help with the rev's. Thats the only mod I know how to do as of yet. You know we're good folks here man.

thats cool of you.

So what does cutting the tongue off do exactly.

I'm in the dark completely when it comes to props.

There's another one that show's the diagrams on a paper type layout.

Cutting the tounge of the prop off is supposed to allow the engine to rev quicker while maintaining its same pitch such as for short course racing. My X470/3 from Octura, got that mod before ever mounting it and it ran second fastest. I feel that had it been stock, it would've been slower.

I've got a P275 that I cut the tongues off of and I didn't see any improvement, but don't forget that I am running alot of torque and only 11-12K RPM. The big prpos seem to work best for me on this BIG boat. I am watching my temps real close when running the 80 and 82 mm props.

My boat came from WHH w/a 275. I had a new 280 laying around so I took it one day. It was a dog getting wound out. I cut the ears off and it gets up there quicker but during the testing was actually the slowest of the three. Makes me wonder what'll be the next mod to it?

I've been told that trimming is mainly for short course's also.

Humm, maybe I'll try the cut on a 275 and see if we can get better speed's.

WAIT!!!! No more testing till I go to Heilbron for the big model fest on the 25th. I'm wanting the new pipe and THEN we'll do a new series.
