OK.I'm looking to turn my Inferno into a part time onroad show car.I know I have asked this before, but now I am seriously gonna do it.I have the time, the cash, and the complete and uter boredom. What I want to do is mount a Caddilac Escalade body on my Inferno.I would like to use the SUV version,if at all possible, but I need to know the wheelbase and width of this body.I already know that the wheels will be sticking out,but that is acceptable.I also plan on getting some "dubs" (chrome rims) and some slicks for my car to complete the image.

Basically, what is the wheelbase and the width of both the escalade, and the escalade EXT bodies for the t-maxx?

Thanks!

The SUV version is

SPECS: Length: 18" (458mm)
Width: 6.5" (165mm) (at center)
Height: 5" (127mm) (cut-out)
Wheelbase: 12" (304mm)

The Truck version I can't find yet. I would imagine that like the other EXtended bodie by Pro-Line it is almost 1 inch longer and 1/2 inch each way on the sides. Not sure though. I found the above at Tower Hobbies. If you click on the details for the bodies you can find this info.

Good Luck and be sure to post pics when you do the ride.

Thanks! It sounds like this body might just work. The wheelbase is almost dead on with my car, too.

Now I just have to build those spinners...

You might try talking with Ramtech-RC (http://ramtech-rc.com/) I know that they are making them for the Savage/Maxx trucks. Atleast they are saying that on the site.

Good Luck!

Hi MRCRASH,

I'll have pictures of my spinners on my site on Wednesday. They will be 3" in diameter, so they will be too big for your car.

In about 4 weeks, I will have a smaller diameter spinner made for 1:10 cars. I'll have to do some research on what will work best for you. Send me apicture of your wheels, so I can see what you are going for.

Do you mean of my design for the spinners?I haven't quite decided on one yet.It most likely will just be a 5 blade design.

The rims I will be using are just a standard 1/8 buggy rim,and probably a black dish,so that more of the spinner would be visible. The rims have a 3.5 inch outer diameter, and a 3.125 inch inner diameter,so 3 inches might actually be too small. If I was to keep my current rims,I would need a 2 7/8 inch diameter spinner, which would allow it to tuck into the lip,but I doubt that there would be ebough room for the bearing to fit in,too, unless it had a raised center, with the actual blades recessed behind it.

Also, how much would your spinners run, just out of curiosity?

I forgot to mention my idea.I am going to be converting my Inferno over to 17mm hex hubs,so I will have a screw hole on each axle, which would allow me to screw in each spinner whenever I want. This would also lock down those pesky wheel nuts.I will just have a hard time finding a suitable screw to use,and having it milled down so that a bearing could fit over it.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of bearing are you using to support your spinner?I am not familiar with the 1/1 rims,so I am not sure what they use, either.

Thanks

Those spinners are pretty cool!Have you thought of adding weight to the tips so that they have more carrying power when they spin?Either way, they are the colest rims I have EVER seen!

Those are awesome! What kind of mounting system are you using. I noticed a stock tire behind it and you have peaqued my interest.

yea same here! will there be any more designs availible?

something in a 5 spoke mabey?

and waht about making a recess in the back for lead weights to make em spin longer and harder to start, along with some really low friction bearings?

I want to do the same with my NTC3.
Want to put a suv body on my car also but don't know which one will be the best.
Gotta have those spinning wheels too though.PLAYERS LOWRIDERS (http://www.playerslowriders.com/)
They have spinners there but they have not returned my e-mails.

Ramtech,

I hope you've looked into getting patent pending status on those before you release them. Everybody and their brother is working on a version right now, and yours are the only one's I've seen that spin that freely. I've got a pretty good idea how to get it done, but if you've got it done, make it yours. Don't let one of the big companies steal your design flat out.

I hate seeing that crap happen.

I already have the Patent paperwork in the system. It takes a long time though. As long as I'm the first dated, then I'm OK.

Here is a video of my spinners - RAMTech-RC Spinners (http://www.ramtech-rc.com/RAMTechSpinner.mpg)
