I'M BUYING AN ESC FOR MY XXX--T AND ITS BETWEEN THE NOVAK AND ASSOC. THEY BOTH HAVE NO MOTOR LIMITS. I LIKE THE F1 BECAUSE IT HAS THE CONNECTORS. I USE SPORTPACKS RIGHT NOW. THE NOVAK REPLACEMENT SYSTEM SEEMS TO GE GREAT. DOES ANYBODY HOW SERVICE FOR ASSOC. IS. ANY INPUT TO HELP ME DECIDE WOULD BE GREAT. ALSO THE ASSOC. IS 20 LESS AT TOWER HOBBIES. I WOULD PREFER TO HAVE REVERSE. I WAS ALSO CONSIDERING THE DUALLY FROM NOVAK IF I DECIDED TO GO WITH FOWARD ONLY.

I run Novak now, however for your application, I'd say get the LRP.

It's cheaper, offers all the same features, is half the size (the ROOSTER is HUGE) and they work great.

Both Novak and LRP have been around a long time and should offer good support.

Novak has great service. So does Associated (the people who bring you the LRP ESC's). It's a toss-up there.

The Novak SR is HUGE compared to the LRP. I would say that it is more robust as a result but that should only concern you if you are running 10 cells in a dual-motor setup (like for a Clodbuster). LRP wins this one.

I would go with the LRP.

The SR I got was busted out of the box!
I am trying to get it fixed under warranty and in the mean time have purchased a F1.
If I get the SR fixed I will sell it when I get it back.

I definatly say the LRP F1 Pro Reverse ESC! I own one, for both my FT TC3, and my XXX buggy..I tihkn it is the greatest investment I have purchased, as far as electronics are concerned. I love how easy it is to tune, and fit into the limited, cramped spaces of my vehicles, moreso with the tc3. Good choice..LRP!
