I HAVE A XXX-T FOR WHICH I'M GOING TO BUY ESC WITH NO MOTOR LIMIT. I WAS CONSIDERING BUYING A 14 TURN MOTOR FOR MY LOCAL TRACK. CURRENTLY I HAVE TRINITY 17 TURN MOTOR. CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHAT 17X2 MEANS WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SINGLE, DOUBLE, ECT.... ALSO A GOOD MOTOR CHOICE I CAN GET FROM TOWER HOBBIES. THANKS

The first suggestion is to turn off the caps!;)

If you know what "punch" is you will notice that a single will have more low end punch. (lower rpm's, better for off-road use)
A double will have more "punch" at a slightly higher rpm range than the single, which would be ideal for 1/10 2wd buggies or touring cars.
A triple will have good punch in the high rpm range, and may give the motor some more rpm.
A triple would be best for TC's or maybe Oval cars/pan car which will be run at higher speeds than off-road vehicles.

For off-road if the traction is low and the wheelspin is high go up in the number of winds, it will not have the instant torque of the lower winds which will decrease the wheelspin and maybe add some traction

A double is usually the best all around wind for the average vehicle, so I suggest a 14x2. Check what others are running (the 14 turn may be too weak) most racers I see run inbetween 10-13 turns

edit: If you for surely will be racing I suggest to you a 14x2 Trinity D5 or Reedy Kr or maybe even a Team Orion core modified.

for a really good motor, get a reedy kr or ti
for a cheaper motor get a speed gems pro

I have heard many bad comments about the p-95 and d5:(

I run stock but I personally like fantom. They have some nice motors. I went from a stock trinity monster pro to a stock fantom and really like it, not a huge diffrence but enough for me to be happy with my purchase.
