Hey BH,
Rides real stable, Turns right nicely but, from what I hear with most of our boats, could have a little more on the left. I may extend the rudder back an inch and and turn fins. Heck Bro, right now i,m just happy it's on the water!

I got your video to work perfect here at home. I clicked on it and it played instantly.
All I have to say is thats awesome. Really Awesome.
I think your GPS is broken cause it looks faster than 25mph. ;)
Doubledog
07-19-2003, 02:52 PM
AWESOME! Picked it up over at Jims.
I'm with BH, looked a bit faster to me, but the problem is, generally you need a good stretch to get an acurate reading. Didn't seem like it hit stride till about halfway and then it was time to turn around.
Get it in the open & the #'s will go up I think.

Hey my friends,
Well after much playing with the strut and gutting the can, still need to put two 1/2" holes in it I'm @ 27.8. However the batteries in the gps did die so i,m hoping there is something to that .....
I'm going to refresh them and try to get to a bigger lake to stretch it out but it gets up pretty quick so well see. I'll also shoot some more video if Flyer does't mind posting it for me. I also want to try anP280 and see what it does for me also I plan on ordering a Walbro 167. Real quick like!!!!! that should get me into the low to posibly mid thirties. without saying I will keep you all posted.

I ran last night real quicklast night and it seemed to have just a bit more speed. Sounded like it in the rpms as well. going to replace mt gps batteries and see what we got and have the wife shoot some vid when she gets home.
Here's he only change since last was agleing the rudder back a little more away from the transom. It looks a little odd w/o it being striaght down or angled back a little. but I think with less of the rudder in contact it creates less drag?? I read a little on shark racings site and will have to do more research on it. The boat didn't sacrifice handling at all. it dropped the transom just a tad in the corner but not so much that it hurt it.
Tell me your thoughts on this please

Yeah I think Angleing the rudder back would work the best you prolly just gott aplay with it to find the right angle. But hey every adjustment you make that gains speed is a big plus. just make sure it still is controllable. ;)
You guys with your boats that run are killing me - Summers half over and - UGGGGGGG I still haven't made any wakeballs. :D

oh and you wanna know the worst part Everything is here and paid for -well except my failsafe - but thats about to be ordered.

07-21-2003, 11:23 AM
Paid for is good. Usually if I don't have the extra change to pay for it, then it don't get bought. Ya'll see how I'm buying and selling a few little goodies here and there.
As far as Steve's boat goes, looks like I need to take a look at a few other sites instead of 'Mingling' :D

If you weren't our friend we'd be like "Brushless got no Wakeballs!, Brushless got no Wakeballs!" However you are our friend and your lack of wakeballyness saddens me.:( Bright side tho BH is that you are going to have one rockin boat and will absolutely be a complete blast to run. 'Bout the only thing I really dislike is that my buddies who'm i'm into with this the most I don't getta run with. Ahh someday.:D

You'll be close to RonO for sure. He posted in a thread you did about a bunch of clubs out that way.
I't be nice to have an organized place to run.
I've always said that if the #'s for the lotto ever come up, I'm digging a pond with a privacy fence a mile high and bleachers.

Hey Brushless,
BTW I like how you put Team Wakeballs Racing at the end of your post. I plan on hitting a stock class asap. I want to get the ball (so to speak  ) rolling.
OK my friends, got about an hour of light and no wife, no kids = time for Stevie to play.

When I am feeling spry and fearless I run tight figure eights to get a really good one setup and then go down the lake a few hundred feet or so and come back at WOT and try to hit it dead center. I don't very often hit the wakeball, but when I do the 20 pound Manta Ray gets some pretty good air.
What do the rest of you fellas do with them thar Wakeballs?
lovinnitro
07-21-2003, 09:40 PM
Hey Shannon,
Same thing Brother. I don't have as much room but a good WOT run toward the shallow end and a hard right back to point A and WOT dead center!!!! Boat is balanced nicety, two times I got about a 2ft launch!!!! :D :D had about 10 people ohhhhh n and Ahhhhhhhh n
I gotta say tho you gotta hit a ball just right but when you do. MAN!!!! it's AIR baby! going to try to get it behind the full size this weekend to see what it'll do. can't wait. Shot a little more vid as well but i'm no puter guru. we'll figure it out!
speaking of.... gotta go figure how to post some vid. I was the camera man and the driver but hey...... what do you want:D

Brandon.... A family member used to live there before retiring from McDill (sp) AFB. Geeze, it was so long ago, but I remember driving the 6 or so hours from Panam City.
Wife makes fun of me. During the winter, I'm wearing long Jon's etc, etc. etc. Her words are "Oh, my little Florida Boy's oranges are cold"

I'm glad you guys really got kick out of that. lol.
Look, I'm warm blooded and this European weather is for the stinking buffalo.! These folks will have a fest out in two feet of snow with a windchill of zero something... But I found the secret to staying warm. Its called "Glühwein" or in our language "GlueWine".

07-23-2003, 08:22 AM
Ahahahaha That reminds of a funny story while stationed near Nuermburg the had an annual Glühwein fest. Well being the fine young, dumb, full.......... well you know. We ended up hammered (imagine that:rolleyes: ) and were being interviewd by a german camera crew. I don't know if it's still this way but it wasn't uncommon for the germans to have a few while working. Anyway the crew was half in the bag as well and we talked them into letting us interview people for around a 1/2 hour. we had camera, lights, all of there equipment! Man that was funny. Got a short spot on the news when they reported about it. Come Monday the Battalion commander ask us that if we were going to "take over" for news crews to at least be sober. :D :D
Hey they weren't we thought we were just doing on the job training hehehehee
Man so many many memories of that place. Other than the cold Double I wouldn't mind still being there sometimes.
