I just got my explorer II and my speed gems 2 17X2. My friend and I broke the brushes in thismorning. I was out running it for about the second time. I noticed it was going faster than it usually does. then it started to slow down noticably. When my battery ran out I decided to check on the brushes. I pulled, and, they won't come out! WHy is this?

lol filipinoguy! Yes, I was taking out the springs. Well, I tried again, and, with a little coaxing, they did come out. I had to pull pretty hard, though.

Clean the sides of the brush hood and brushes.

when your endbells copper plates turn reddish color its time to have a higher ratio :p i used stock gearing with my 9t speedgems and the copper went pretty damn red...

Yes, heat depending on how much WILL warp metals to a certain degree.

So, my engine isn't ruined then? I need a new pinon gear with less teeth then?

That rarely happens. Like I said, clean your brush hoods and brushes so they slide in and out easily.

also, if you droped the motor or hit the end bell it might have bent it. It shouldnt be a problem if you got the brushes out. How do the brushes look?
