Here is his other post!!
im using an rtr micro rs4 and today it started to mess up...i started to run ir and holding the throttle all the way back it would decrease speed and eventually(after 20 seconds) stop..i thought it was a loose pinion gear and its not..i took out my motor it see if ti had dies on em and i hooked it up to the batts and it runs fine...it only messes up when its hooked to the esc..i noticed the esc doesnt beep...its the motor...i held it to my ear to see if asnything was beeping and the esc did not..just the motor...i have no cluw what is wrong...i do believe it is the esc and not the motor though
PLEASE HELP!!!
whats wrong with the thing?!
my old ESC had the same problem a while back. And the problem occured when i put a new motor in and i had to reset my ESC to get it to work agian. Try reseting your ESC and see if that helps.

unfortunantly there is no reset button
whao ive never heard of en ESC having no reset button. there has to be a way to reset it. look in your ESCs manual, if there is no way then that is wierd IMO.

My first thought when that occurs, motor works out of cars but stops; needs to be pushed to go or slows down drastically is that it's a motor problem. Brushes are worn down to the point spring is no long able to provide tension. Try swapping another motor if possible. The other could be the ESC settings or radio settings that need to be reset - just barely moving the knob can throw the setting off. The other could be the ESC rating and motor compatibility - motor could be drawing more amperage than ESC is capable of sustaining so it goes into protective mode by shutting down.
Try isolating the cause by swapping out electronic gear, motor, ESC, receiver if possible.

it cant be the ESC-motor compatabilities because the car is completly stock
i am going to hook the motor up to my car today so we can see if the problem is with the ESC
i am not sure if there is a reset button...we could not find one

This is just a shot in the dark, but have you checked the pulleys for debris, including rubber from the belt gumming the pulleys up? I've experienced a problem vaguely similar to yours(a major slowing down of the car & what seemed like the motor jamming up), & I found that it was the pulleys being gummed up, & cleaning them out(basically taking an Exacto blade or a pick & scraping out the gunk from the pulley cogs), & the car immediately was back to its very quick self(my fellow racers were wondering if I was using a mod motor in fact, but it was just the stock one & a great battery from ProMatch, :D ). I'd definitely try that before anything else.....
