yeah that would be tight....i'd like to see it done....but it probably wouldn't help much....i dunno:rolleyes: seems pointless because what would you actually use them for.....sure a full size truck could put them to use....but a RC truck?? full size trucks loose traction eaiser and this provides sure footing.....but with RC it might not help much except maybe for slow torque filled electrics......nitro would burn those tracks up in a day....unless they were metal....it wouldn't really work probably.....

It could be done, but, finding tracks, either rubber or metal would be very difficult.....but, these could be made, too! These would definitely be for a crawler, tho.

other than the novelty- I don't think those would be of much use.

Why wouldnt they? They surve as a practical use on trucks and other vehicles used to battle harder terrained services. Just as long as you got the weight difference right per track you would be fine. They take so much weight on them to even do good. The weight of a rc truck may have to be boosted a lil' to get them to work right and who ever is driving to slow down on take off a lil' more maybe, but other than that I feel it would work.
Trucks, Monster Trucks, and Army Vehicles use them why cant a rc?
Make any since?

too many moving parts. They're also exposed, to getting gummed up. I'm also not really sure what terrain the'd be beneficial for:
Mud=big soft paddle tires
Rocks= Big sodt sticky tires
The only very specific terrain they'd be good for(IMHO) would be VERY steep and fairly non-bumpy. I've never really heard of RC MT'ers complining about lack of traction. Of course the only way to test a new idea for sure is to try it:rolleyes:

If you want that kind of traction in a monster truck the easyest way to do so is glueing tacks/small nails in your tires....:rolleyes:
(poke them through the insde to where they become spikes...but superglue/ducktape the inside so the weight of the truck dosen't push them in...:D )

Hey Figit, I did that. used thumbtacks superglued in. then coated the inside with rubbercement. worked great, but after my failsafe failed and hit WOT and the ensuing accident (I diddnt jump out of the way quick enough... 38 stiches in my foot/leg) I got rid of them. Diddnt really help with the traction to much either. except on my leg that is... :(
