Well this is my own design and it was cheap to build about $15. Anyways I thought I'd share my Project with you guys and see what you think.

Stand looks like a winner. How tall is it?
Oh, good to see the boat also. Was beginning to wonder what it looked like.:rolleyes:

From the Floor to the top of the padding is right at 13"
Painter keeps slowing me down - Double UGGGGG
so I keep coming up with other projects. LOL
I might add a prop guard to the rear of the stand I have the material and it wouldn't take long so I might update it later today.

not stealing you glory, but that was my plan too.
work with plumbers all day so...
Not to mention, thats all the store bought ones are made of. LOL
I think i will steal your blueprint though. Nice design
also wanting to build an electric retrieval system out of the stuff. You know, shape it in a U shape with the motor in the tubesticking out the back in center. Thinking of the rudder sys now... hmmmmm.

Nice stand man! I gotta upgrade mine. Build it waaaaay basic just so I could get started. Any idea on when the boat will be painted? I'm going to try to squeeze in one more run with the gps tonight (Thunderboomers are a looming. not the best thing to be holding up a metal antenna! :eek: :eek: ) and I'll post some results in the my thread later.

Yea I just meant the layout was my design - i know pvc is widely used, I see why it's Very Affordable and easy to work with.
anyways I was going to the hardware store and decided to build a stand yeasterday literally as I was wlking out the door.
I went back in and measured how long i wanted it and how wide then drew a quick 3d drawing figured how much pvc and what fittings i was going to need and headed out all within about 3 minutes.
So from the thought to finished design was less than 5 minutes. LOL
took longer to cut the pvc down. LOL
overall I'm very pleased. went to a buddy's place for a cook out today so maybe do the prop guard tomorrow night. we'll see. ;)
