i was looking in the savage ss, and afteri get out of my little "debt (not rele)" i want to buy a savage ss. but i need a steering servo, i was lookin at the hitec 625MG series. i was lookin at the torque one, 133.3 oz at .20 reaction, is that fast enough? or the speed one wich is 94.43 oz. at .15 reactin, is that fast enough? which one should i get?

i kno, i want that servo, but wich one? the speed or torque one? is the torque one fast enough? (133.3 oz at .20 ) or the speed one. is that powerfull enough? (94.43 oz. at .15)

5 hundreths of a second isnt all that much of a difference... if youre not a full on racer, then itd deffintely be worth the extra torque...

isnt the HS-5945MG Servo better than all of the above listed!
i know it cost more but if i have the money to spend..wouldnt this be the bext one???
HS-5945MG Servo (digital)
Stall Torque (6.0V): 180.53 oz/in.
Operating Speed (6.0V): 0.13sec/60 degrees at no load

is there any better>>>?
and will this servo turn (monster pirate wheels easily?)

the servo would darn right work, but too well, i dont think you want that much response. my 645 works perfectly and it is probably the best for a monster truck

Airtronics 94358Z ERG-VR:
torque 200 oz/in at 6V; speed: 0.10 sec/60 deg at 6V
Are Hitec servos the only servos people use?

That airtronics servo is nice, but it costs $110. That is why people like hitec servos ... they are cheaper.

How much are those Hi-Tec Servos? I bought my Airtronics for less than $94.00
I am sorry to say, but I'll keep my Hitec 5945 over that Airtronic 98358.
1- the HITEC is cheaper
2- the hitec is digital
I have to admit the Airtro pumps out slightly more torque and speed than my Hitec, but the digital is a huge step forward over analog:
- Holding power is something nobody mentioned but very important to me
- Peak torque is reached almost instantaneously on digital
- better precision and better centering too.
With a digital servo comes a system that kind of "feel" the load applied on wheels and counteract by adding more voltage in order to maintain the same position. To make a story short, when I grab the front wheel on my Savage, I can ear and feel the servo working hard to keep the wheel pointed in the original direction. When running, it means you car will be less affected by the terrain it run on and that it will keep the same direction you pointed your wheels at.
I believe that if you want a digital Aitronic high torque / high speed servo, it will cost you more...
Only my 0.02 Euro

Well thanks for the info.
I might even buy a Hi-tec 5945 next time.

I just ordered those digital ones a few days ago. Another advantage is lower amp draw from the battery :)
