I'm making a return to 1/10 Electric Buggies/trucks after about 13 years. (Last truck I had was the then all new RC10T)

Alot of things have changed and alot has not.

What I'm having the hardest time figuring out are batteries.

When I raced there was only NCR and SCRs all the same mah, Now there is 1500, 2400s, 3000, NiCd, NiMhds.

Can someone point me to a FAQ tell me for what application I would use what battery?

I mean if I'm running the truck stock class what would be a good/legal battery to use?

TIA

For stock truck, a battery with alot of punch is good. I suggest a couple of 2400s for practice and like a SMH(stock metal hydride) pack for the race, if thats what you plan on doing.

the best batteries on the market right now are the gp 3300's. They have very good runtime and have some very high numbers. The ir #'s are very low on this cell which gives them good punch. The 2400's are a popular cell but the specs do not match up to the newer batteries. Get a few 2400-3000 batteries for practice and one or two 3300 batteries for racing.
