yes and no,
its good if you are not super serious, but once you get in to the higher level races you are going to want/ need an fm raido.

Not really true... i have the xr2 and i race with that at my lhs... its a great radio... easy to use and yet has special functions like any other high priced fm's... i even coil my antennae to hide it and i still dont get a glitch!

My suggestion is the xr2i... its an updated version... same price and features but looks alot better;)

I love mine. only thing i dont like is the plastic flexes alittle when you grip the radio real hard

I race at a small parking lot track and it works great. I'm thinking about getting a XS3 soon. :D

I've never had a problem with my JR XR2. I'd say go for it.
BTW if you are gripping the radio hard enough to bend the case you are squeezing WAY too hard. AND you need to find a girlfriend. ;)

yeah that was uncalled for but I have a JR XR2 never had a problem good feature like subtrim which is nice and 2 (maybe 3 i forget) model memory. I do occsionally get some glitching but don't all radios. If you plan on be a seriousy racer then get a FM and if ur really serious then get a Airtronics M8 with a Novak switch synthesizer.

So let me get this straight. Friends of TA03 can say what they want when they want. And they do all the time in graphic detail. (cough, cough JEEPINATOR cough, cough).
But since TA03 and I disagree on a lot of things I get chastised for making a joke.
